I agree, I have heard Vyger in 4 systems now, it seems quite linear and not too much bass. I will get to compare at Gian's. What Chau is hearing might be a function of YouTube or of combination with Opus or both. Gian can tell us if what Chau is hearing on YouTube actually exists in his room

I put Opus on Vyger because with Bergmann the sound was little light
Also my speaker has bass very good,very fast and very deep but not full light Wilson for exemple
With Opus on bergmann the balance was ok
Vyger has one incredible bass and midbass ,very full,powerful,and deep that I never listen in my home and I like a lot
Also Opus 1 has same sound full powerful deep and in some recording is perfect and few recording the midbass seems little too much
I will try Atlas sl and GFS that are little light than Opus and could be will be little better
But not sure because opus is very special cart

So, then Chau's impression of the bass being a bit strong is not completely out there it seems. Also, the S5MkII have a looser tuning on the bass than the Q series Magicos. The two together might call for a leaner cartridge...

I have owned 99% of turntables worth consideration.The latest Vyger iterations are my ultimate choice.
I do not know Gian,I have read many of his posts and respect and admire his systems and knowledge.
Equally I do not know Mr. Tang but respect his path and system.Both manage to convey passion and excellence in a foreign tongue.
Fortunately for me I have not lived a life full of bigotry and self entitled twaddle,as such I massively respect these gentlemen and others like them;Larry,Andromeda,853,Big T et al.
One arm,one cartridge great condition vinyl(mono and stereo)
Bill,Kedar and Larry are now good friends to me and I respect their input(loosely)and their heartfelt enthusiasm.
Please may I suggest you contact Enrico for him to personally install for you?
As an aside,I like all low compliance mc and mi devices,I use the Red Sparrow,Sumile,Benz LPs,Garrot Brothers paratrace Blue,Grey bodied FFSS.
The Krimon has my head but the Mayer makes me weep(J Field-Bruch).
I would not part with either.

It give far better acoustics through superior reverb control no it doesn't i just ran out money
Fascinating..i had perhaps gained the impression that linear tracking arms lost a little bass weight compared to tangentially tracking arms.
This was reinforced by the opinion of Chris at Artisan Fidelity, who said the Kuzma Airline did not go as deep as a Kuzma 4point when mounted on his decks.
I'm guessing you wouldn't say that you are missing any bass weight?
A linear tracking arm tracks tangentially to the groove, so is not a linear tracking arm the same as a tangentially tracking arm? I think the distinction Chris is making is between the linear tracking Kuzma Airline and the pivoting Kuzma 4point.
IB, yep it's a commonly accepted piece of wisdom that linear tracking arms don't do bass.

Hey, I only have a lowly £800 linear arm when compared to Vyger arm, but if it lacks anything, it's not bass.
Indeed it's fascinating spiking expectation bias of visitors when they see this 5" armwand sliding up and down a rail cushioned by 2psi of air from a commercial aquarium pump.
"WHERE did that bass come from?!" being a typical q.
Of course, where did it go is a natural follow up, as agility in my setup is so exemplary.
I'm sure even more so w Vyger.

Dear sir, tangential is the gerund of tangent i.e;a point of intersection between a line and a curve.
The number of nulls or tangents with regard to fixed,anchored arms is curve-setting dependant.
Linear arms are constantly perpendicular therefore the nulls are theoretically infinite.
Whereas anchored arms can only achieve a maximum of three nulls per LP during playback,linear ones never deviate from the apex or non trivial zero plot(x,y,z) where z=time.
If I am able to connect my scanner to my pc I will draw to better explain.
