Amazing playing and great sound.

One of my favorite players playing some of my favorite pieces. This is the new gold standard for me. (It's an SACD, by the way.)

Having a great afternoon with Ivan Moravec.

Listened to Mr B’s marvellous Moonlight along with some Chopin while in the car.

Next up the Prague live performance Twelfth Night Recital has more of Moravec’s artistry throughout.

This record is a must. Never released in Stereo. Testament released a stereo version. ERC has done it right in Stereo with all tube repro/cutting system. Only 300 copies. I compared this with my ED2 Columbia SAX 2323 Tchaikovsky Concerto in D Major and it almost has identical sound/recording quality. Recorded at the same hall/orchestra and time period. Only 300 copies made. Get it while you can.

Love a symphony on a Sunday ( especially) ...Shostakovich had his 9th too, didn't he?image.jpeg

Junko Tabei, first woman to climb Mount Everest... Today would have been her 80th birthday...

Had to find an Everest title ( from my limited collection of that label) that I felt she might just have liked. One can only hope ...

A good & safe Sunday to all ...

Now listening to a 24/96 FLAC version--way better than the Qobuz stream, which sounded pretty good. The playing is phenomenal.

A stunning recital played on a modern guitar, not a Baroque as suggested by the cover image.

This wonderful set arrived today. The music really breathes under his fingers, and he's not afraid of using some pedal. It includes pocket facsimile scores. The only downside is the boxes are too large to fit on my CD shelves! I'll have find an alternative place to store them. High to praise to Amazon seller "musicexport-us", who is based in Greece and got this set to me via DHL in less than a week!
