What is your ONE go to song that you depend on to help set your system right.

It's very hard to pick only one song (the OP's thread's title).
I can pick one thousand songs, but instead I'll pick one double album (LP). :b

I agree that several selection music genres are all important to assess one's sound system fairly. It's the music we like, be it classical, jazz, blues or international.
That Yes album I picked above; you have a diversity in that double-LP covering the gamut of the music essence...IMO.
And yes, the vinyl, not the double-CD.

And this one too:

Sure, I could have picked some great classical opera multichannel music, or audiophile stereo jazz, but I picked the two above; because it's me.
They are not the ultimate, they are just two choices among a million others. ...And as of today, yesterday and tomorrow.
If those still transcribe the emotions musically in my youth and soul...I am satisfied, relaxed, @ peace and comfortably numb. The ? system reproducing them with those qualities win my heart.

Cat Stevens - Tea for the Tillerman. UK solid pink Island label. Father and Son cut. If this sounds bad in my system, something is wrong with it. Last time the culpit was a whole set of peanut tubes in my line pre amp. Changed them, the cut sounded fabulous again.
Excellent choice! :)

Some others:
Aaron Neville - Warm Your Heart (ORG)....specifically Angola Bound
Peter Gabriel - PG3 (Melt)(Classic Records)......specifically Biko
David Gilmour - Live in Gdansk (Columbia) .....specifically Echoes
Eva Cassidy - Songbird (Hot Records).....specifically Fields of Gold
Neil Young - Massey Hall 1971 (Reprise/NYA) ......the ENTIRE album.
