What turntables do you use? Pictures would be nice as well :-)

Analog Solutions „The Q“.

Analog Solutions "The Q". Switchable from belt drive to direct drive during playback. Horizontal and vertical Air bearing. 100% pole jitter-free torque motor with integrated air bearing, the world-first in this configuration. Within this motor, there are 18,000 laser-assisted measuring points. To achieve perfect and stable speed, there is an axis generator in the main unit capable of correcting speed at each of the 18,000 measuring points. With 50x interpolation per microcontroller, up to 900,000 possible corrections are achieved during each LP revolution. Still happy with it.
What is the mushroom looking thing under the turntable ?

Was ist das pilzähnliche Ding unter dem Plattenteller?
Hi, I don't know what you mean. There are two platters. The drive platter which is connected to the air bearing and the top/playback platter. In between are three spikes to seperat them from each other. That's done for several reasons.

The platter arrangement is certainly very interesting.

Do you consider a solution for centering mismatches between drive platter and playback platter?

That's already done during the development. The Accuracy is 0.001 millimeter. The drive platter has a cnc milled groove, in which the three spikes are firmly fixed.

I recommend you to check it. Nice looking turntable BTW.

There it's easy to see. By the way, the bore in the middle takes up a rather complicated device ( a steel ball, two springs and two delrin platters) that couples the plate to the air bearing via a Delrin axis and defines the coupling strength by turning.
Best Regards S

Ich empfehle Ihnen, es auszuprobieren. Übrigens ein gut aussehendes Laufwerk
The accuracy is basically checked by a concentricity tester. Just as it is also used in the manufacturing industry. With this test device, the concentricity of rotating components can be accurately checked to 0.001 mm. I doubt that there is only one middle hole in lp's that is punched so precisely
Thanks for the compliment.

Certainly not, I mean you’re right there aren’t many precisely eccentric records. Off center records is a major issue with pressing plants.

Thanks much!

Would be interested if someone has concrete experience with its effect. I wonder if it’s meaningful to place a device with a radiating power cable so close to the cart, just to have less tics and pops.

I’m also keen to know what the black tower with two green lights is, I occasionally saw standing beside record players. I think Fremer also uses one.

Spot on.

It’s basically the same thing with one you asked. It’s effect on sound is discussed here:

This is the rig we use to listen to mastering clients' test records (a surprising number don't have access to one) - and for my personal listening pleasure.

Nottingham Analogue Dais, (in pic) OL Illustrious, Dynavector DRTXV1S. The OL arm has just been upgraded to the Conqueror. This pic is to remind me of the as-was. Phono stage is the Soulution 520
