What's Spinning Tonight?

I'm not a 'glam' rock kinda guy (well, I do like Ziggy), but UK pressing of david essex 'rock on' is pretty killer, as is the first uk press of 'Electric Warrior' T Rex.

When I was a kid, David was quite popular with the ladies. I seem to remember liking Stardust, the movie, with Adam Faith. I feel old.

Specially burned CD from DJ in NY during one his late nite sessions at downtown club...always fun to get stuff from the underground.

Not an audiophile recording, but recently got hooked on the Broken Bells self-titled debut, a hyper-catchy collaboration between James Mercer of The Shins and the producer Danger Mouse. Kind of psychedelic pop, The Shin's 'Wincing the Night Away' and DM's 'Rome' are some highlights of their individual work. New album coming in Jan. that's getting a good buzz.

+1!

"Rome" is a great LP. How many albums feature Norah Jones & Jack White :D ??

Danger Mouse is also one half of Gnarls Barkley (a duo with Cee-Lo Green).

You should look for her Solace album on classic records. IMO, it is easily her best album both in material and sound quality. It is one of my go to records for female vocalists. Not easy to find though.

Thanks Christian! It's on my list for 2014. I might pick up Fumbling For Ecstacy as well.
