What's Spinning Tonight?

Herbie Hancock, "Empyrean Isles". Music Matters Definitive Blue Note 45rpm reissue. It's been raining here all day and I like to listen to Herbie when it's raining.

That last Herbie Hancock album was so good, I am now listening to his, "Inventions & Dimensions" Blue Note 45 re-release by Music Matters.

The Grizzled Mighty: Closed Knuckle Jaw

This copy of Closed Knuckle Jaw from The Grizzled Mighty. Has been waiting on my turntable since the end of last month.

Got home after being away for a month, excited to listen to music again and found there was a channel not working on my preamp. Shipped it to the manufacturer, who naturally found no issues with it.

The Grizzled Mighty is a Seattle drum and guitar/vocal duo. As you can probably guess, nuance is not their thing. Here's a video they filmed early this year in Vegas (nudity included).

Hot Tuna, "Hot Tuna". Recorded live at the New Orleans House, Berkeley. Originally RCA, rerelease by Sundazed. 33&1/3 RPM. A very nice acoustic set with Jorma Kaukonen acoustic guitar, Jack Casady bass and Will Scarlett harmonica.

Recorded in 1992, released on CD in 1993 and just released on vinyl for the first time. Excellent job by Music On Vinyl.
