A Linn Records SACD was recommended on another thread the other day, I immediately checked out the 24/96 version on Tidal, only to be greeted with poor sound. Oh well typical streaming crap I thought.
Then I checked out Linn's channel on YouTube and couldn't find the same recording but did find this one which is also available on Tidal:
The sound of the video far exceeds the sound on Tidal:

Next I went to Linn's website and downloaded the track in 24/192 and waddaya know it sounds great!
So takeaways are:
1. Don't dismiss a recording if it sounds bad on streaming.
2. Streaming only is not enough, you also need files.
3. YouTube can be a great place for finding good recordings.
