The Grid Protector, the EMI Protector and The Allocator By Schnerzinger-In My System and I’m Blown Away

The Master is a box, like the Grid or EMI Protector, just smaller. Very smaller. I placed it on my rack’s upper shelf. Just like GP or EMI it works also without its own SMPS connected, if the (only one) switch is set to 0 position. To set I or II you have to connect the SMPS.

The Guards are like common plug in cylinders, labeled Phase, Earth and Room.

I need more time to try different combinations around the room but it seems that into the Allocator is a very effective solution for one of the Phase Guards.

My guess is all you need is 1 ROOM and 1 EARTH and when you order more its extra PHASE units you get .

It’s interesting that all here started with the whole thing even without the cabling, which usually sets the foundation in terms of resolution, speed, control and ambience. You definitely will stay surprised! ;-) And I guess you’re maybe already in a phase, too, where you’d rather go back to your previous system with those things than being with the current system without them, simply because this grade of realism is nearly impossible to get from typical gear alone, no matter what price.

I agree about the cables. It is an entire system snd I agree with your thoughts I love my Masterbuilt Ultra and have too much invested in them that I would ever start over. The Schnerzinger are priced similarly and as much as I would be tempted I just can’t pull the trigger on that one. I’d be tempted but I’d rather buy new speakers as that’s pretty much how much I have invested in my cable now. So sometimes you have to know that you can go farther down the hole for greater rewards but something in your brain slaps you in the face and you have to come up and smell the roses. So I commend you on your complete system. Please don’t invite us over for a listen as insanity might ensue. I’m looking forward to putting the Multiguards in.

Exactly what I’m thinking, Steve! I went STEALTH full loom and I’m scared to even consider alternatives now. Even if I’m so curious to give Schnerzinger power cords and ethernet cables a try, at least with the noisiest devices like router/switches PSUs or digital transports… plugged into the Allocator. Who knows, never say never.

I just ordered the GRID, EMI, and GUARDS!

I have way too much invested in the Shunyata Denali/Typhon/Altaira to consider replacing them, and I love the results, especially from the Altaira. I can’t compare with the Allocator, of course; but companies usually have their cores of expertise, and Shunyata’s is definitely AC power.

There are a lot of permutations to try out, which is something I don’t really love about this hobby.

Im not one to play the permutations and combinations game as there is too much time out of my life to do this. Plus the other permutation is where you put the matter as well as where you insert all of the Protectors and then where to locate Phase, Room and Earth

To me I plan on placing two in the front behind my amps and speakers, one on my right side wall, one on my left side wall where my electronics are and one in the Allocator. My guess is that I will use the wall wart and have all in position ll

Thinking it through, I wont put phase in Allocator as everything is in phase there. Probably Room or Earth and along my right side wall the remaining ROOM or EARTH. I wil use my 3 PHASE with 2 on from wall and one on left side wall but that's a blind guess as Im not going to spend a great deal of time figuring where each should go. I think the Allocator solves many of those decisions

That’s very kind of you, we all do what we can, but there are certainly many more costly and better setups and especially more perfect rooms than mine (including yours), which is all contributing its part. What I can say is, that frequent flipping of components stopped long ago in my case by hearing (after a certain level was reached), how little of the finally essential things this “slightly different or better” contributed in comparison to those other measures.

I fully understand, that huge previous investments are not easy to drop. If you stay with the existing cabling, with the other measures you still can get rid of the grid and room related HF noise and with component guards, you can clean the gear. With the Allocator you have at least one part of the power network, delivering the high resolution and you block HF noise exchanging over power cabling.

Regarding the Sch. cabling, as far as I understood the overall context...in terms of HF noise, you'd close the gap where with different cabling you'd still continue to constantly collect the HF noise over the cabling and try to cancel it out as good as possible by the following measures (in this case: component guards). The resolution, speed, bass control and coherence of the cabling within the frequency range, resulting from the rest of their design, is another chapter.

But any of those high class setups you all have, for sure have an own synergy as they are and it’s always good to know when to stop. The question is: should you some time try the cabling if you’re not willing to buy them in case they do what they promise? We all answered this for ourselves a few times already in the one or other way I guess ;-)

Thank you....FWIW one can even go into the beyond of even the Schnerzinger signal/power cables and, (as I think I understand it) move to a Zellaton speaker where there is allegedly the best synergy of all as Vinyl Mike has just discovered. I believe I have read that Schnerzinger does their cable R and D with Zellaton

I guess this is very individual, as there might be outlets where you don’t need any and others with strong radiation, which do need one. If you have a correspondingly sensitive electro smog measuring device, you might even be able to find out in advance.
