FYI i made a small correction to the balance of the speaker after the review( model thats at the dealer )
I tuned the tw slightly down to now 2,5 db down at 10 khz ( in room response ) with normal toe in
This is a more widely accepted balance and used by many manufacturers .
On tw axxis / max. toe in , they measure flat however , bass is very nice with either position.

At home I have my speakers straight but nearly all speakers at HE Munich were toed in.
Most extreme were Grimm and Boenicke, I don't like this
Would have to disagree on that , if doing multi drivers you want parallel as it gives you the room to fine tune each driver ,A parallel crossover causes some separation between drive units at the cost of musicality. With a good series crossover you have more the impression to listen to single driver speakers.
Series xovers have better use on simple speakers , say a two way or coaxial/FR type drive units , especially if you need to keep the impedance high for use on OTL’s or other tube amp type application …
The lack of coherency on a multiple driver loudspeaker is from poor design choices not because its parallel ..

CAT JL5 has been sold , speaker development days are basically over , i designed what i wanna design
I ll be sellling my Meitner and Mark levinson DAC too .
I ll probably pick up a HEGEL H 590 integrated with built in streamer/ dac in the coming weeks .
The HEGEL i can use as a power amp with the CAT legend , but i might sell the CAT pre amp too .
The only expensive gear ill probably buy in the Future will be FM acoustics ( and possibly a WADAX )
Streaming of my phone and just one integrated amplifier .( KISS , Keep it simple stupid )
( it didnt work with the ZANDEN 7000 / 300 B i had at the time , that was just a bit short of power ).
I keep the tape machines / tapes off course

You've been writing here since the Munich High End 2024 about how good the FM electronics are and how good Wadax is - and you only ‘maybe’ want FM and/or Wadax. Why is that?
