Taiko Audio SGM Extreme : the Crème de la Crème

My Network Card had been running without issues since day 1 in hot and super sunny Singapore. Recently, however, I would suddenly lose connection to the Extreme and only a reboot can get it back online.

Could it be overheating? Maybe, but then why overheat now, and not way earlier? Anyways, I look forward to the new network card, the router, and the TACDA next.
Are you referring to the initial Extreme Network Card, not the replacement with the tweaked firmware? In any case, there is no actual overheating happening, just the card thinking this is the case and reporting this to the OS which then shuts down the card. If you haven't had any issues so far then my guess is that your room/installation has been cool enough not to trigger the issue earlier.

Thanks. My room is definitely not cool, lol- I leave the air conditioning off in a small room that gets heated 24/7 by the extreme in outdoor temperatures frequently above 30 deg celcius.

But yes I was referring to the initial card. Will wait for the replacement and try.

Ok, I'm afraid I have no explanation for that. But the new card should prove 100% stable and trouble-free.

Has anyone tried a dc4arc6 on their switch?
Mn
I have, I prefer Ferrum Hypsos with a SR purple fuse for it by quite a lot.

The packing with a full foam insert was already very good and normally, it would have been more than enough. Alas, the handling is even more savage than anticipated and this, combined with the fact that copper is very malleable and bends more easily than steel, made us decide to absolutely bomb-proof our updated packing method.
Do you already have a shipping date for the rest of the cards, with the new reinforced packaging?

48 hours and no connectivity issues. And my Extreme is in a warmer location than most setups.
That's good news:) With the adjusted firmware, given that the network card has successfully completed an overnight test run at Taiko HQ at a 100% load at 75 degrees Celcius (Google tells me that's 167 Fahrenheit) the card should now remain stable even if it is used in an environment that is hotter than humanly comfortable.

I was all in for the copper or the black until I saw the Chrome which to me is eye candy

but how do they compare in SQ? this is a least as interesting as the sound of bent vs. non-bent copper on the switch card.
