After 30 years the battle of the formats rages on

Oh I wasn't talking about this place. Nobody here would ever engage in the type of discussion I was referring to. I mean just in general...other places where emotion gets completely out of hand. I'm sure you've seen the kind of web sites I'm referring to. No, not here ever. :)

It's kinda nice over here in this neck of the net. Free from all the flaming.....God I don't miss that one bit.
 
The only format wars for music are various loss/lossless formats and CD. Everything else is a niche. The controlling factor for most is access to the greatest variety of content.

I do a lot of listening to youtube over headphones. There are a lot of performances available that I had never come across on LP CD or anything else. Some new and a lot of historical performances and artist I have never heard of. THis is far more important to me that a few pristine recordings.
