After owning / trying 20+ switches I've found the one I like the best...

Of course this is always relative with the obvious disclaimer this is what I think sounds best (to date) in my system to my ears. I'm not claiming it is the best of everything.

But this new switch is so good it knocked off my reigning champion which was the Telegartner with Optical Bridge combo:

I got the NA Muon Pro and Tempus too and it’s really an outstanding combo. But both devices perform great on their own. Thank you very much for your effort in testing things.

Thank you for the kind words. Much appreciated.

I think testing and experimenting is although extremely time consuming quite fun and interesting!

Great video Michael. I've now set my sights on this upgrade path. My wallet thanks you! ;)

Tell your wallet I'm sorry. ;)

Thanks for the kind words.

Nicely done Michael. Our timing was off a bit as I purchased the Reiki super switch and pro power supply about two weeks ago. I considered the Tempus but the Reiki also seemed thoughtfully designed, and being carried by Liquid HiFi here in the US, I was able to support a dealer.
It replaced an English Electric 8 switch and the improvement was significant.

I also have a Network Acoustics Eno filter. I’m curious if you can comment on the merits of upgrading to the Muon Pro over the Eno. Candidly, I didn’t notice much if any improvement from the Eno alone - but that was also earlier in my system development and I’m not sure if I had the rest of things up to snuff to notice. I now have a much better DAC and streamer but haven’t tried it w/o the filter. I’d welcome feedback if you have it.

Best,
Hi - thanks for watching and I'm glad you liked it.

I've heard very good thinks about the Reiki switch so I'm sure it's doing great for you.

I have not tried the Eno. I will say having owned a variety of filters over the years at all price points they all have one thing in common: results are VERY system dependent and very placement dependent.

I can only say should you decide to try the Muon Pro, it is risk free with the in home trial. I use their Muon Pro, but not the cable that came with it as instead I prefer the sound from my STEALTH Audio cable.

I would suggest focusing on vibration control as I cover in the video before embarking on any gear updates as to me upgrading vibration control offered a massive improvement.

I also plug my Tempus and all switches I've ever had into a power filter for improved performance. When I had my cheap trifecta of switches I had a much more noticeable and positive improvement plugging them into a $300 Audio Quest power filter rather than any power supply upgrades.

I would focus on the other areas mentioned before embarking on upgrading gear. But that just my personal experience and may not be true for you.

Thanks Michael,
Will do on the Muon pro and vibration control. I have Nordost sort kones under my other gear but have some iso acoustic pucks I can try under the switch and power supply. All my gear is plugged into a Nordost QB 8 MK III. I might try the QB 10 reference, too. Just because. Appreciate the suggestions.

Best,
I'd very much recommend trying the ENO2 or Muon Pro as there has been a considerable improvement over the very first generation filter ENO.
As mentioned the basis of a good system is its power supply. From there on you can address various areas and will immediately hear how things evolve.

Best,
Let me know what you think about the Isoacoustics. In my system I found them a step backwards as they made the sound soft and mushy sounding.

Yikes. That would indeed be an unfortunate outcome. I won’t be back home for a few days but will report back when I have some findings in that regard.

Michael, have you ever tried any of the Ansuz switches?

Only in other systems so I can't fairly form an opinion on them.
