Breaking the $30k threshold: REVIEW New Reference Network Streamer Server for $15k

The digital system is Innuos Pulsar, Holo May DAC, Gryphon Diablo 300, Wilson Sabrina, a managed Ubiquiti network and Neotech Silver UP-OCC cabling. Analogue is a fully pimped CTC Garrard 301, Reed and Groovemaster tonearms, RCM and Whest phono amps. Puritan power products. So the analogue is a little more expensive than the digital, but proportionate to use.

The main part of the system is the room, which was completely rebuilt, removing ceiling, hacking off all the plaster from the brick walls, replacing the windows and a completely new electrical installation. All new furniture as well.
Thanks. Nice system.

To compare the Taiko thread and SR self promotional muti -thread onslaught is a reach to put it mildly!
As opposed to the Lampizator thread onslaughts?

These comments from a vocal few serve to prove my original supposition highlighting an industry partisan clique that seeks to enforce their will as the self-appointed gatekeepers of High-End Audio. Only one problem (for them): they’ve lost control of the narrative. ;)

What transport. I wanted a Jays Audio CD3.3. Someone said the 2.3 was really good. Almost better in some ways.

And yes, I have wondered as much about the Taiko. Talk about a advertising thread. Ted is an obscurity compared to that one showing up every day. If people want to yell at Ted, don't forget the other dealers.

Taiko has never crossed the line of in-your-face self promotion, and has built up WBF recognition over many years. Taiko threads are customer driven activity and two way communications. early Taiko threads were started by customers. those WBF members owning or curious about Taiko want more Taiko not less. Taiko WBF activity has been earned. lots of discretion and common sense from Taiko in their conduct on WBF. OTOH Ted is purely self promotion......so far. not saying that is good or bad. just how it looks to me.

This recurrent fantasy of orgies and audiophiles must be unsettling.
Gah! That’s gonna give me nightmares!

Early SR threads were also threads started by customers. There has been a lot of enthusiasm for Ted’s products here.

not saying his products are not legit, or that customers don't like them. but his recent activity threads have all been started by him and mostly driven by him. not exactly a naturally occurring organic build up anything like Taiko. so my issue is trying to connect one with the other. i did not bring up the subject.

Mike, how many times have I posted on this thread? Have I been ‘driving’ this thread? I mean, aside from starting the thread and alerting the community to this first in a long line of reviews and video comparisons for the Voodoo streamer server, have I been fueling the comments? I don’t think so, but I could be wrong.

Found this interesting Voodoo streamer comparison from a Korean audio site. It has subtitles fortunately. It appears the device is popular in Japan and Korea. Definitely some interesting takeaways herein.

I agree.

I do not agree that Ted's posts have been "purely self promotion."

I think Ted's think-piece threads have been interesting. They are in the nature of the kinds of think-piece threads I sometimes start.

Well, (just an observation here, spoken out loud) that's because of something called bias.

There are many members of the forum who see things differently. The evidence is spreading just as quick as the virus is.

Tom

While the self-promotion can be irritating, one can choose which threads they wish to read. Not really a big problem, IMO.

The question is that this self promotion is most times disguised and carried in interesting threads, spreading false and misleading claims, with abusive text on the competitor products.

This thread was started in the General Audio thread, not in the appropriate Manufacturers, Distributors and Dealers Forum section.

Do you typically preface everything from a double standard? Or is your persistent anti-SR messaging intentionality directed?

GENERAL AUDIO FORUM: Shall I continue to shine the spotlight on gross double standards? I believe my first viral think piece, made this point abundantly clear as has the continual harping since I joined WBF from a loud, but vocal minority.
