And I raise you 300lb palletted Stacores. Up a 30" wide spiral staircase, 20' up to listening room.
Thank the Lord for friendly neighbours.

I always thought that Wilson only offers single wiring terminals?
So why 4 monos, then when also no Subwoofers are planned?
If you notice, one pair of speaker cables are not attached so yes, only one pair is needed. The two pairs were previously powering a pair of a Stenheim Reference Ultimes.

Most listening rooms in HK are not as big as those in N Am & Europe.

Has Wilson Audio released any info on the proportion of their XVX buyers who also bought Wilson subwoofers together?

A few months ago Peter McGrath told me that all but one owners of WAMM's had got the subs. The person who did not get them was simply because he did not have the space ...

I thought that comment was pertinent to the WAMM Master Chronosonic not the XVX

"The Wilson Audio Subsonic is the fraternal twin of the WAMM Master Subsonic. It features the same subwoofer drivers and the same internal volume. The differences lie in the finish details. The metal work in the WAMM Master Subsonic features the prismatic finish that mirrors (no pun intended) the WAMM’s main array gantry. On the Wilson Audio Subsonic, the metal work is from Wilson’s main line finish process—the same level of metal finish that has adorned Wilson products throughout the line."

"The ActivXO is the long-awaited and thoroughly updated replacement for Wilson’s revolutionary Controller. It is a two-channel, fully analogue electronic crossover with an array of features. It can be used in conjunction with a dedicated music system, or as the subwoofer control unit in a home theater system. In systems used for enjoyment of music and surround film, the ActivXO is configurable to accommodate both —optimally and simultaneously."

Wow...the owner replaced Stenheim Reference Ultimes with the XVX? Is that a statement that he prefers them over the Stenheims...or is the owner just enjoying rotating of equipment which, i know, some do?

Bcos his previous speakers were the Stenheim Ultime Reference Special Edition bi-amped by the two pairs of Goldmund Telos 5500 monos via a tailor-made CH Precision active crossover.

I will stop talking about his audio system from now on.
This is a XVX thread.

Thanks, Howie.
Any word from the owner about a comparison of the XVX vs. Reference Ultimes?
