I need advice regarding the bottom cover (hard plastic) which has delaminated from the plinth of my criterion table.

A white powder has been left to the body of the plinth which must be remanence of the adhesive. at present am attempting to remove as much of this white powder as possible.

Question, should I reapply this plastic laminate,
if able to remove all residue of the adhesive from the plinth bottom and the plastic laminate it may be worth it... if not, then I may be in the same situation further down the line.. I can't see a thin plastic laminate to the bottom of the plinth affecting the sound its more a cosmetic.

I also had the same thing happen to the armboard for my cobra arm, fortunately I have a spare armboard.

Turntable had been in storage due to house moves and home remodelling in Malaysia for the past 10 years I am now back in UK looking forward to setting up my precious.
I need to get this sorted out before installing the platter and checking out platter vacuum and speed motor controller.

Many Thanks Mark

Residual of the adhesive has clean up well using a wide blade scraper/brass wire brush and loads of electrical cleaner and elbow grease,,,,
What would one recommend for an adhesive to reapply the plastic laminate, don’t won’t to use contact adhesive.

Is it adhesive? Or corrosion between two dissimilar metals?
