And that would be recommended for Coronavirus?
How come I didn't read that in the health scientific news of recommendations recently?
Not as far as I know

i believe Norman was talking about Mg as a sedative to relax. You need to take a deep breath Bob.

That's cheered me up.
I have been taking selenium for years and last week when I went to stock up there was an offer on selenium with zinc which I took advantage of.
Selenium is vital for CH and China as both countries' soil is deficient in the mineral.

Where do you buy this magnesium citrate?
...Magnesium citrate. Ashwaganda root herb. Milk of Magnesia...
Amazon for all of them. Buy trusted brands.. Bulk Minerals brand is very cheap for Mg Citrate.

And if you want Bob you can also explore facts on MgSO4 ( magnesium sulphate) which is a wonderful drug in obstetrics for the treatment of severe pregnancy induced hypertension. I’m sure you can find many links in it as well

I thought this thread was re coronavirus.

IMO Norman has given very good data however with new cases everywhere I think we can agree that there is also an element of mass hysteria which continues to fuel the fire.
IMO if ever you want a dose of mass hysteria, just read this thread

No one will deny that this is a very serious virus. I have read all of this thread and from what I can infer the small doses of wisdom are coming from Norman who gives excellent advice and medical comments whilst David as a Life Actuary enlightens is as to statistical analysis. In page after pages and more pages of every link on the internet about coronavirus I personally find that these incite mass hysteria. After all we could all die right :)
be safe , listen to the medical advice given, take strict precautions but mass hysteria grows faster than a viral pandemic and serves only for crazy making

I see, as a sedative to relax. I am quite relax in life generally, my breathing is ok today.
If I get infected with my heart condition I won't make it, so I'm taking an even deeper breath Steve.

I understand Norman's replies and I truly appreciate his smart attitude and learning from him.
The discussion we're having is a good one, all of us.

If you want an intelligent discussion read this thread.
If you want mass hysteria and hyper tension, etc., read the news from those outfits we all know.

It's nice to see people here extremely relax with the circumstances; you cannot have picked a better place of highly ended intelligent people.

For whatever that means for so little we know ...

I was interested to read the government recommendations re seniors and coronavirus

All great advice.

https://www.medicare.gov/medicare-c...glish&utm_medium=email&utm_source=govdelivery

The medical community has done a great job trying to deal with this situation. The government needs to give them the support to be successful. Hopefully the number of tests will increase significantly over the next week. Give the docs and nurses the tools they need to help people.

And for those people over 80 and younger with chronic medical conditions...heart, lungs, high blood pressure, allergies, respiratory issues, asthma, etc., check on them, care for them, help them...they are our fathers, our mothers, our friends, our blood, flesh and spirit.

Well, I guess as far as diseases go, one that mostly affects those over 80 is preferable to one that affects everyone. On the other hand, being 70 I’m not too enthusiastic about old age diseases.

It's more than age Bud; it's so contagious that anyone can kill our lovely elders and unfortunate ones with weaker immune systems. Children can kill them.
That's pretty terrible. Coronavirus kills doctors and nurses who are more exposed than normal people. And if they run out of masks or proper respiratory equipment, etc., it's very easy to see where it'll lead eventually. This is no panic, this is no mass hysteria, this is preventive reality.

In China it killed a doctor who tried to warn the world; he was only 34 years old.

The people most affected, emotionally by coronavirus are often the ones
unlikely to contract it.

That is pretty scary poster above...who's that guy?
A picture posted by my recluse cousin who suffers from a healthy dose of
self-irony. I think the guy might be Canadian
