Al, that's a wise decision.

In particular, I cannot risk infecting anyone in our large company. A spread would both promote disease and kill our business.

Taking extra steps in my clinics. Anti bacterial wiping down of all common surfaces w every patient. Extra hand washing. Telling any patients who get a cold or cough to cancel. Ditto me and my associate in return.

One thing we could have improved as a result of this ie some new tech solution:

Door handles!!!! No matter how often you wash yr hands, you then have to...unlock toilet cubicle, or/and use main door handle to exit rest room, use yr door handle to enter yr workplace.

I'm now looking like a loon holding ALL door handles in public spaces w disposable tissues.

No way am I going to be ground zero for an additional outbreak in Greater London, or ground zero where we live in Norfolk (current known cases = 0).

That's not true. I just don't understand why the UK was exempted. People can travel from the EU to the UK and infect people there and then bring it to the US. Plus, this was not discussed with the EU prior to the decision. It seems like the whole world should be working together to help end this.

Finally, what does a travel ban in general do for Americans who are here? What was done to help slow the spread? The data from China and other places shows that quarantining, for example, is helping to slow things down. What direction has been given to apply the same concept here?

Do people from the EU going to the U.K. need to get their passport stamped? If so, I would imagine this is how they would stop these people from entering the US. I believe this is what was done initially in Asia (couldn’t go from say China to Korea then to the US).
