Entreq Tellus grounding

A bit pedantic Dan.
Those posts including my own dealt with the amplifier negative speaker terminal grounding albeit at that stage with two Silver Minimus

You need to reread his post.

If PO wants to complain about people making incorrect/false statements about his products, he needs to get his facts straight.

Entreq's real power is Olympus Tellus

Thanks Esotar
I haven't tried the Olympus Tellus yet but have had very good reports on it.
Do you have one and can you share your experiences' with it?

I want to know the comparison of Entreq and Tripoint

I want to know the comparison of Entreq and Tripoint

I own 2 Entreq boxes and a Tripoint Troy Signature. here is a link to a post I made that somewhat answers your question. realize that the Entreq is designed to be a signal path ground, and the Tripoint Troy is designed to be a chassis ground. so their intended use can be complimentary. both can work together doing different things and be additive.

Just got a Olympus Tellus that replaced Silver Tellus + Atlantis and the difference is not subtle even if not fully settled yet (2 days of use). Seems to be longer to burn in.

Congratulations!
Enjoy and keep us posted
My recent upgrades (see cable thread) have made a really significant improvement. The upgraded Audience power cable and Phonosophie fuse for the power conditioner are part of the reason so not all down to Entreq this time.

I am using both as well with good effect and would in general agree with your findings. I have however still difficulty with all this talk about signal path ground. In most gear a simple measurement will show you that signal- and chassis ground are tied together. So I cannot help but think, that at least in his sales talk PO might be misleading us. No matter though, his stuff works, be it tied to chassis or to signal. That is what counts after all.

Well after a week of use I can say the Olympus Tellus is a big step forward in SQ vs the S. Tellus /Atlantis with the very same cabling. It seems quite a bit linger to make its full (maybe not yet I hope) effect.
The very first thing that hit me is the bass impact : much more impact faster and taut and in the same time more natural, easyer.
Second and third day the same thing better but strangely some week signal as if the sound was lowered. Newt day : football on TV, frinds at home. These last two days and especially yesterday the sound became more natural and involving in a way a never heard until now in my system.
Everything is unforced, fluid and powerfull, engaging. Yes this bass I never thought my panels are able to do is still here and surprising / frightening me sometimes. The scene is more full of music and musician have a you are there more obvious than previously.
I feel immersed in music and stop analysing the sound : what more can be said ?
The restitution of music is gargantuesque, emotional and sweet when needed.
I love it.

Connected two Atlantis Minimus to one post each (speaker ground) of my Poseidon . My secondary Tellus , which is dedicated to six Receivus tabs has been treated with an Atlantis Tellus . This could get interesting , very ! If first impressions are anything to go by . Measurements not withstanding :D

Can totally relate to that ..... cheers !

I ought to start saving for one of these three-prongy silver type boxes. I have the two plain single-terminal Minimuses at the moment because oddly I liked them better than the silver-content boxes (and I still love them). But that was last year and as many of you could relate, once you've made other changes elsewhere to your setup you wonder what it would sound like when using something you rejected last time (not because it was "bad" but because last time is just wasn't "quite right"!!).

Plus, after Barry's experience I am going to save up for an Athena rack with the cable option. I thought that rack was too expensive at first but when you look at what racks cost in general it is more priced down the middle of the road. Which means I am now going to need the three connections - CD player, amp and then the rack "ground".

Maybe more than three . Each shelf has a ground post .

I suppose that depends on whether the shelf that houses the Entreq gear itself is intended to benefit from having a "ground" connection. I was intending to only have the actual audio gear located on one shelf only (2 x half width components), but now that you mention it, I suppose for absolute thoroughness you'd "ground" a shelf even if it did not actually house any actual audio components themselves. I wonder what P-O's philosophy is in this instance?! And whether I'd hear any difference myself. The differences between the different Entreq boxes and cables is easy enough to hear without any effort but I feel I might be stretching my listening skills to identify grounded or ungrounded shelves!! Then again, who knows, maybe not!

Thanks for the update and delighted to hear it has been such a success.
It's a great feeling when an upgrade makes such a significant improvement.
The audiophile fuse I recently installed certainly has improved my sound. Was a bit unsure about their value but I intend to add some more.

There's no reason Jonathan why you can't start with grounding one shelf to start with.
You could ground the second shelf at a later stage and at that stage put your two components on a shelf each to get the best benefits which I expect would be audible to your ears.
The Challenger earth cables work well in that role and are not too expensive.

Hello all
Nobody for sharing anymore ? Spiritofmusic did you stop your Entreq quest here ? Very impressed with the new Olympus Tellus. Hope many can listen to it. It magniyfies what Per Olof has been able to do until now.

Thanks Barry. Of course by acquiring the bigger boxes I will have two pristine Minimus boxes doing nothing. Way too hard to sell second hand given the physical weight of them and the tiny market so they could actually work very well doing nothing more than grounding the shelves - one per shelf.
