Yep that's certainly my direction of travel.
Now if only other components would just behave themselves long enough for me to complete the task...
You could do far worse than consider my Terminator LT. Under £1.5k.

Synergy is everything to me.
Greater minds with wider experience than mine agree that the Schroeder LT is a terrific match for the Beat. Indeed Steve Dobbins and the team behind Dohmann standard fit Schroeder to their new offerings, at about 5k iirc on 45k tt's. For a while i was concerned about sub bass extension, but the Dobbins' view that the LT loses nothing in bass to any arm they tried, was good enough for me

Gavin, there is no downside to LT bass in my experience over 6 years. None at all.

Well it's clearly that erm.... that it's quite hard to find specific kid's tv shows from the 70's and MUCH easier to labour a rubbish metaphor?o_O

Hey Gavin can a fellow child of the second summer of love ask you for a solid? Outside of Marley I know nothing about Reggae. If you could list a starter playlist for me I would be extremely grateful.

Agree with the importance of boogaloo in your system.

For cd transport my vote goes to the marantz cd 94. Oldie-but-very-goodie.

What turbosound model do yous like?

Jesper, I find it illuminating that a thread on Esoteric disc spinners that a few years back would have attracted a lot of interest, gets nothing. The hobby is bad enough without small groups of men apparently sharing a secret hobby Lol.

It would be my absolute pleasure Jack:cool:
Does it have to be individual tracks, or are albums useful?

Gonna have a think about it while in the bath, but to get you started
Albums
Forces of Victory by Linton Kwesi Johnson
Augustus Pablo - King Tubby meets Rockers Uptown
Lee Scratch Perry - Out of many, the Upsetter
- Reggae Greats, Island records
- Revolution Dub
-Superape
Steel Pulse - Reggae Greats, Island records
Jah Shaka - Dub Masters
Red Seal - Black Ops
Twinkle Brothers - Crucial Cuts
-Old Cuts dubpack

Some really huge dub:
Scientist - Wins the World Cup
- Rids the World of the Curse of the Evil Mummys
Rockers hifi - the Black Album
Horace Andy - Cool Vibes

Of course, not overlooking, the first, self titled Gorrillaz album

Best track from the album, and a very good way to begin;
New Genious

Happy listening:D

There you go squire. 19 tracks to get you started, no skimping on the sauce

That's a powerful body of work there. Handle with care;)
Hope you enjoy listening as much as i enjoyed making it

Anyone else viewing this is welcome to follow the link.
There's a lifetime's love of roots rockers and dub music distilled into 19 choons, all classics, all of which tore it up at one occasion or many.
Think of it as an evening chez gav, toe in the water sort of thing.
Enjoy

Certainly, many new recordings sound dead.

Dobbins said the mids of the LT were better Ryan the reference and the bass was much better.

Yes my apologies for the outbreak of randomness. Must be the British disease.

An update:
Initial decision made, funds winging their way towards the Esoteric vendor.
I will provide my sonic impressions as soon as it arrives here, I'm hoping that will be at most two weeks, as the evenings are long this time of year at this latitude

Should be a red letter day. My Artisan Fidelity 301 will be also returning from receiving a minor tweak (it was 'ringing' at 45rpm, a quick fix for a 301 specialist), along with my vdH Colibri xgw Stradivarius (high mass arm variant), returning after a fatal interaction between shirt sleeve and stylus

So, hopefully, at a stroke i will go from tablet only, back to firing on all cylinders.

Can't wait, I've continued accumulating vinyl in the meantime so i have half a shelf's worth of new records to play with:D
