Gryphon PowerZone 3

Please vote which solution is the best. I'm curious about your observations.
Wow...based on your name, looks like you did this video yourself. Very very cool! That was cool and would genuinely enjoying see more of these.

Meanwhile, I found you really had to settle into each one because the change itself is abrupt and so is your pick based on the abrupt element or the fact that you actually like the before or the after? That was quite cool to try it a number of times and really listen.

Overall, I thought the Gryphon seemed designed to strip back any noise from the Without Power Conditioner in a completely unedited style...and you could almost feel it doing so. The Shunyata seemed designed to something akin to taming of stray noise where the extremes seemed less distorted. But of course was it reducing distortion at the extremes or was that in the recording and its now being softened or blunted/burnished slightly?

Online, I like what the Zone 3 was doing, but my gut tells me in-room, I would probably want to live with the Shunyata/Altair long-term. Speculation of course. I tend to like the approach I think I am hearing in the Shunyata sections. I wonder what happens if you plug the Shunyata into the Zone 3! Thanks for taking the time to do that.

Thank you for your interest in my work. Will post a few other songs for comparison.

It's best to listen with headphones. The differences are actually subtle. Most noticeable in classical music.
Its interesting...i decided to close my eyes on the laptop and did manage to tell when there were changes. In fact, I found it easier to do so when eyes were closed than when just watching the screen and the prompts.

Interesting comparison, not because I own a powerzone but I agree with LL21 that it seems rolled off on top and bottom with shunyata/altair combo. Like you have added a limiter on the highs and lows. So for me I wouldn't like to live with the 'smoothening' effect a typical conditioner has that you can kind of tell in your video and I have experienced in person multiple times in multiple systems. Is your powerzone fully broken in? There are big changes that occur between the first few days and a few weeks on.

can hear the differences. Both shunyata/altair and Pz, to me at least from listening through the video, sound very much like they are calming the high freqs. If it creates a blacker background that’s cool too.

I started recording after 270 hours of burn-in. From what I hear in my room, it has an advantage over shunyata. Shunyata calmed down the sound a lot, almost too much. I did not notice any positive effect of the Altair ground conditioner. The background hasn't changed anything at all. I wonder how this device works. As for the Powerzone, I added Vanta cables to it and the sound calmed down significantly. the cables did not negatively affect its performance, rather they eliminated all unnecessary sharpness after using the PZ3 in the system. we'll see what happens next. Gigawatt Powermaster is scheduled to come to me for a test tomorrow. It is the top model of this manufacturer. We'll see what it brings to my system.

Thanks for that. Did your video include the Vanta cables during its Powerzone sections?

Look forward to reading how the Gigawatt Powermaster works...heard great things about Gigawatt generally.

Yes, I used the Vanta power cable in the recording. I am glad that Gigawatt is manufactured in Poland, just like Lampizator and J.Sikora turntables, I am proud of it. All these devices are amazing.

I am using Vanta cables to power my 3.20. Most of my friends are using Stealth 2020 cables. I may have to try that. It just feels correct to use the Vantas though.
