Holostages - critical review

Its $5k a pop for anything in their goodie bag.. Jeff has at least 4 sets of the stuff. Even a set for the TV. Double it up. Quad it up. Its even better when you buy buy buy more. Non linear scale. 2 is 4 times the fun. More makes it beter and beter.

Hey, I get it. I have a good friend with Shunyata ground stuff. $17,000 worth for maximum affect. What about 1 box and a couple entry cords. Nope. You need 2 to 3 boxes and high end cables to get the resl affect. If you only buy 1 and entry cords, don't say it doesn't work. You didn’t spend enough.
.
I have to remember this is Whatsbestforum. The place to promote the most expensive of equipment. Even I was selling high end panels at one time. I sort of shake my head in shame when past customers tell me I was stupid to sell the stuff for so inexpensive a cost. I have to remember. If you don't charge way more than its worth. Its not worth anything. And no one will buy it.
Either I am expressing myself unclearly or I am being read wrong. I have a breaker panel box, one small and one large AC plug in , 10 Holostages and 3 ground boxes. The total cost was $4,800. Is that clear? I hesitate to sound like I am being favored by Krissie but she gave me $200 off on a large order and threw in the small AC device and 2 Holostages. Once I was on vacation and my Pay Pal was not working and she shipped the day before I could pay. I owe her nothing beyond gratitude and perhaps future business . Full disclosure. Nice person, incredible product. To further expalin the sense of resal music being played is uncanny: I am listening 2 rooms away and it is obviously a different experience- I FEEL like a concert is being played down the hall. THAT IMO is priceless but yeah $4,800 all in.

I don't know what's all in the goodie bag as the website is woefully inadequate , but the Holostage is $1K for a set of 4 so no idea what you're talking about

Thought I read $5k. My mistake.
Do you own any? Are you going to get any? If you did and the heavens opened up like Jeff claims, I would trust your perceptions and might try them. If its the same small gains like any other tweeks that are system dependent, I will take it for what it is. If people chased every single tweek, you may end up like, was it Spiritofmusic? Stripping it all out one day finding it all too much and unnecessary.

Gotta love being against something you have not heard.

Having no interest in something and being against something are two different things. Not once did I say that they don't work in fact I said that I could get that maybe they improve picture quality. So how am I against them? One thing I don't do when I describe the impact or lack thereof of tweaks is provide nonsensical impressions of them. You know like needing these to understand what's going on in a hockey game, seeing a basketball ballet, etc. You'd think that you were watching an old tube tv that couldn't keep up with the action. But hey you do you.

Forgive my brevity- I meant against trying them. Nonsensical?! Beside being rude that is ignorant. Our brains process sound or vision in a similar way. The brain assembles the bits of information into a coherent representation of reality. The EASE and completeness with which it can do this strongly impacts our experience of calm and satisfaction when listening or watching. This is well known in audio and just as pertinent for video. The individual movement of the hockey players and their simultaneous coordination is analogous to the same with a group of musicians. The tonality and density of the TV picture cooincides with the same for sonics. In my case I find it more objective with the TV picture- ANYONE can see it. Some don't percieve or care about audio gains and the language is more relative ( what does "more musical" mean?). That is why I put forth the hockey example. The only tubes are in my DAC.

What can I say? I am a physician.
Got it Doc, was an avoiding the word shill.
I looked at Jeff4598 and what do you know. New member, over the top promoting goods. Does make me wonder if Heartsound Audio is using a alias, Jeff to self promote without paying vendor fees.
Guys, This is easy to sort out.

Jeff, please send me a private message with your name and provider number, and the website for your practice. I'll look you up, call your practice, ask to speak with you, and verify you in less than 30 seconds.

If Jeff ghosts us, then that answers that. However,... if Jeff is bonafide, then it would be the gentlemanly thing to do to accept his opinion as his opinion (to which he is fully entitled), and treat him with the same courtesy and respect that you believe any member of this forum should give to you.

We don't have to agree with everyone, but if Jeff is Dr. Jeff, then maybe those insults (delivered to both him and Krissy) should get retracted in just the same way that I retracted things I've said in this thread.

Well? Did you hear anything.

The maker of the Holostage could also chime in and say this is just a happy customer and they are happy he is experiencing great results.

If the stuff does work, its a lot less expensive than the Schnerzinger stuff Steve is talking about.
I like a good passive filter that rids noise. And ones that are affordable. There is just so much spoof out there, its hard to work through it. a never before poster on the forum waxing poetic is suspect.

OK, Jeff actually did send me info so that I could look up his practice online.

He is a verified member on the Psychology Today website. I was able to verify his zip code. Was able to verify his educational residency. Was able to verify his work phone, his primary areas of practice, and his cell phone. I called his office number listed on the internet and when he called back I spoke with him for nearly an hour. He is afflicted with all of the personality quirks and stereotypes of a medical doctor specialized in psychiatry, both in his manner of speech, his vocabulary, and his ability to comment as such adeptly on subjects such as audiophile demographics and psychological tendencies.

We had an enjoyable call about various audio components and may end up being a bad influence on each other, encouraging needless audio spending.
