I am hearing the first sounds as I am writing. It took a few hours adjusting the system initially, from here on out it will be fine tuning. I am very happy with what I am getting. I have also installed fuuga cartridge and from the get go it sounds great :)

Getting the system to the side and having the diffuser on the front wall creates great depth and distinction in imaging.

I also like that the records are now behind me.

That is an awesome looking room. Love the new diffuser and lighting on it.

Speakers same as old room?

Did you build the diffuser yourself?? Agreed that it looks great.

Great space Kodomo, agreeing with all the comments here. I love the layout and the rich earthy exposed brick looks fantastic… lovely detailing throughout. Really a great bit of place making, well done.

@kodomo Congratulation on creating such beautiful understated listening room. It feels cozy and very inviting to be in. If there is a bathroom in there you probably wont go out of the room for days. I tend to like your moss front panel more than this expensive wood diffuser.

kind regards,
Tang

Yes Bill, those are my old speakers but it is an open system that I can adjust and even change parts of from time to time. Sometimes it is for improving this speaker sometimes as a test bed for speakers I am building commercially.

I have been mentoring someone on acoustics for a few years. I helped him with his room first and then he got interested so much that I explained all the core principles and showed him how and which programs to use for measuring, modeling rooms or designing these type of panels. He started building various panels as a side business and this is his gift to me.

@Tango Thanks, I also loved the moss and I miss it, but the sound has improved a lot with the diffuser. I am still looking for a way to integrate the moss to this room and I have a few crazy ideas. There is a bathroom, a shower, even a separate place to sit drink coffee, whisky or wine (waiting for my wine cooler) while washing records or reading books on music or art. I also have my studio being setup on this floor.

Don’t invite @Bonzo or he might bring his pyjamas and move in for a long stint lol.

I wanted to go but previously when I had time the omicron wave started and by the time the travel restrictions eased and I was ready again the war started. It would be great to hear those horns in previous room or current

Yes, I also liked the moss. Will it grow on bricks?
You have done a truly fantastic beautiful job, Okan - thanks for sharing it with us.

Your Horn system is a system i would like to hear , good flat FR , great looking room
New room and adjustment is passively done to get more in line with Toole target fr and less of a flat fr. I like how it sounds now and as I measure I see that it does not deviate from the target for more than 2db's. No eq, no dsp...
