Lampizator announcement: launch of our all new TOTL HORIZON DAC

Maybe then that's not good . The Bendix 6900 is more durable and is 5000 hrs

so you need 3 pr of 5687 per yr ouch
I Don't leave my Horizon on contrary to Lukasz suggestions

which switch stops the tubes from glowing?

Fred texted that I am next in line on the production schedule. Confirmed that it will be Duracell. I'm just copying Steve. Larry

You are actually on double deck for my NA orders, but it is indeed time to start getting excited!

The hours mean nothing in the specs. In the same fashion a passenger sedan will last 20 minutes in a race. Having said that 6900 is the champion bar none.
that's why I have 3 sets of NIB 6900

@Lukasz....a question that many of us have ben asking......re the quad pentodes and using the Horizon single ended rather than balanced.....

In single ended the two pentodes on the left are in operation. Are the 2 pentodes on the right side working at full throttle like the pair on the left or are they in standby or ???

we ask because we wonder when the left two tubes fail, can we switch the two tubes on the right to the left and put those on the right to the left

IOW do. the 4 tubes fail together or just the 2 on the left fail first. I remember you said to just insert 2 inexpensive pentodes in the right bank but most of us are obsessive compulsive and like the look of 4 tubes the same. However we have no idea what the tube life will be on the right bank. Is it the same as the two on the left or is it longer because they are no being used for single ended

Maybe for the ocd users use glass tinted covers on all 4 tubes so you can’t see what tubes are in the sockets

Steve, are you using the single-ended outputs? I am using that for now but plan on going to balanced at some point because my run is about 3 meters from the DAC to my preamp.

I'm fully balanced and all my tubes need to match , if not I will focus on it :)

I run single ended David. Running balanced doesn't help as my preamp and amp are SE. Lamm does not believe in balanced. At any rate, I did get an answer from Lukasz that all should read......

"they will last 20 years"

"both right and left sides have same tube life even if only running single ended

"if you listen to SE system, you only listen to the left pair"

my DAC lies just above my preamp

Two questions.
1.Has Lampizator run out of large bodies of water, after which to name their products?
2. When are they going to get their own subforum?
