Doing a search for GZ480, I found only a reference to a Shuguang one on eBay. Using that name I found a news listing from 2018, but that’s it, other than reference to this forum. Anyone find anything more definitive?
If this one is pointed at me - I did not write "best tube ever" anywhere, as there are no best tubes ever. I merely pointed out to this particular tube based on experience from several guys I know very well and I trust their ears. Also I don't have it as such and won't have it, but was informed by quite a few guys that they can't dig it out from normal channels. So this obviously is not the case and tube chasers will obviously be able to judge if it was BS or not what I passed as info...
I like what they say about the EMS shipping option: "EMS can deliver liquid, powder and some counterfeit products." Reassuring...
With the pandemic, international mail to the States is having a hard time getting through USPS International Service Centers (ISC), especially in New York and Chicago. Airpost of a GZ32 from the Toronto area just took four weeks, and Thursday will make two weeks a U52 has been sitting in ISC Chicago.
My Tesla AD1ns from the Czech Republic haven't shown up in USPS tracking since being shipped out on April 14. Interesting times for luxuries such as these.
With many fewer planes in the air, mail is coming and going across the Atlantic and Pacific mainly by boat, just like the old days. I sent a couple of Audio Magic fuses to Vietnam, and they haven't been heard from since departing SF on April 17.

Adam, Fabio was waiting for his tubes from Luke (Prague - Zurich) more then 4 weeks. I guess using horses (Pony Express) would be faster...only reliable means of transport these days are DHL/UPS/FedEx but the prices are....
BTW I'm having my tubes locked in London for last 10 days using DPD which should be express delivery (like DHL)
All one can do is remain patient. This pandemic is teaching us all to take a step back and chill, fill the void with other more meaningful things and be pleasantly surprised when things show up.
Speaking of adapters, I'd love to find a Woo 596 to 5U4G adapter that someone no longer has need for. Woo's price for these as gone from $100 to $150 over the past few months.

Express or priority mail is the only way to get things internationally these days. I ordered 6 LPs from a seller in Japan. He sent them via DHL express for $43 and they arrived in 3 business days.
DHL is like FedEx and UPS, i.e., entirely different than the underfunded, poorly managed USPS. International express and priority mail are experiencing the same fate as first class. The Canadian GZ32 seller told me last week that an Express shipment to Kentucky was still sitting in NY ISC after three weeks.
@shadowlight I have one of those (different Hong Kong seller). I can't tell if the occasional short crackling I hear through the speakers with it and the 596, but apparently not other rectifiers, is caused by the adapter or the tube. My first guess is the adapter, given their poor reputation. The tube was an NOS with about 300 hours now that came from dminches, I recall vaguely (or someone else on the TRP thread).
