Congratulations.....one of the best...
it would certainly be fantastic to see the platter in a free spin...without belt....
Enjoy the magic...
The more personal love you give it in setup [attention to the smallest detail] ....it will reward you

It spins very freely and continues on for a while with no motor/belt.

Lee, just saw the post on your "dream table". Living that out is what our hobby is all about at any level one cares to play at. I would love to hear the system (with vinyl of course) someday. Congratulations!

^^Arm tower build photos.^^

Initial impressions:

a. Weirdly and otherworldly quiet. Dead silence in so many areas. Even the vacuum is not that loud and that goes off in a couple of seconds. Absolute silence between notes. Almost, dare I say, digital in this regard?

b. Crazy good bass.

c. Precise location of instruments on soundstage.

d. The best dynamics I have heard from a turntable outside of the TechDAS AF Zero at Jacob’s.

e. Incredible resolution. Dream with Dean has incredible presence and the chestiness of his vocals is positively lifelike.

Special thanks to Mike Burns, setup artist extraodinaire and owner of Wolfsong Audio. Just a great guy all around and the Southeast’s best setup expert. Bravo!

The word I would use to describe the sound is natural. It seems to present all the detail on the record but it’s very analog like in spite of being dead quiet in all the right ways. I started to listen to jazz and what I really appreciate the perfect timbre and presence of the instruments. I am very sensitive to that and this is the best I have heard on these albums.

Now you are talking! Congratulations Lee. That table with dedicated stand has a very cool look.
Thanks Peter! The stand is really cool. Kind of retro in look and more importantly crazy heavy for a solid base.
