My end-game speakers

I'm trying to put together my "end game" system.
To that end, I've got an M900u on order. and would like to get some feedback on speakers.

So far I'm considering Magico M3 (91dB, 4-ohms), and Focal Maestro Utopia EVO (93 dB, 8-ohms).
(I like them both but have not heard them in my room.).

My main concern is the space I have to work with... As shown, I've got sort of an L-shape room:
25-ft deep, but only 12-ft wide where the speakers would sit.

BTW, I'd d like to use a single M900u, so I need to consider reasonably efficient speakers.
Thanks!

Perhaps some more information such as what kind of music. YG Sonja 2.2 might be worth adding to your list for audition. That amp should be able to drive them.

Hi LeoDuran,
I guess for your space of 12'x25', a Magico M2 is powerful enough to energize the space.
M2 is a "small gaint"!
I actually think that it surpasses even the M6 in a few aspects.

How about a pair of Goebel Divin Marquis?

I would just copy PeterA's system. No need the M3. There will be the next next M3 anyway. Great sound, very high value per dollar spent and no need to go through costly learning curve.

Jazzhead has a room that's 11 feet wide and 25 feet deep. Sounds excellent with the Marten 2. You will need to pull up the speakers and seat pretty close instead of keeping a lot of length between the two

I second the Coltrane 2s. One of my favourite speakers.

Out of the 2 choices. Focal for sure. It will do a better job energising the room when you are playing pool.

Mostly Jazz and Classic rock, but with today's Streaming services there are endless possibilities!
I've never listened to the YG's, so I'll keep them in mind. Thanks.

I second the option for a YG Sonja 2.2, or if going with a Magico, the M2.
May I ask what preamp will you be using?

Glad to hear the small space is not an insurmountable challenge, as it's also the modest amount of power from the Luxman (and I will have to live with both! :))... Thank you all for your suggestions!

I'll have to wait until the M900u arrives (late Dec/early Jan)to make a decision on the Preamp.
I'm currently using a Tron Seven (valve) line-stage (GT specs) but will consider pairing the amp with the C900u (when I'm able to find one to take home to "try before purchase").

Do try the Tron with the M900u. I've always preferred the Luxman amp with a tube preamp.
Perhaps the new Luxman CL-1000 might be a better fit for a system with either Magico or YG.

To be honest, I had dismissed the CL-1000 (on paper) because of no MUTE function and transformer-based volume control.... but if I get a chance to try it, I will!

The only drawback that I see with it is the lack of remote control. But then, I have no problem with transformer-based volume controls :)

Which of: Coltrane Supreme 2, Coltrane Momento 2 , or Coltrane Tenor 2?
Thanks
Actually when i owned them, they were just called coltrane 2 The new equivalent is the Coltrane 3 but it is more voluminous than the Coltrane 2 which i think would be a better fit. The Coltrane Tenor 2 is meant for smaller rooms so it might work as well.

You could also try the Mingus Orchestra which is excellent as well and might be well suited to your width of room.

Another one much less expensive is the Stenheim Alumine 5, which to me is the sweet spot in the Stenheim range. No problem with your width of room.
