Yes, for sureWow I bet 2cents that you will not go through all of your tubes in amp during your lifetime.
Wrong, 52KU was the Cossor Code for the GZ32 which I'm using them in my Leak 12.1 monoblock, tube lovers will collect most rare tubes even they never use themIt seems that you are colleting tubes for itself not for audio system.
Although 52 ku tubes look exotic, I am not sure I can find use for them.
They look pretty.Dario 12AX7SView attachment 93577
Even Telefunken's own rib and smooth plate sounds differenceThey look pretty.
I have 12 pairs of 12ax7 but Telefuken ECC 83 appears to be best with nice clarity and details.
But I am curious how Dario sounds compared with Telefuken.
Hi Adrian,Straight glass 6922 Beckman printedView attachment 90817
Not sure your's Beckman are D getter or Ring getter, to me they sounds clean and detail , a bit forward and bright, the mid is not as emotion as other E88CC,most E88CC sounds not that much difference as ECC83 and my opinion is just pick one that suit you most and not necessary an expensive oneHi Adrian,
Thanks for sharing all these great pics! I recently picked up a pair of these Beckman 6922s (which I believe were made by Amperex?), and I find them amazing sounding, more to my liking than Thomson CSF 5687 and Tung Sol 6SN7 GTB black plates in my Horizon DAC (although as you note all have their strength and weaknesses). I would love to get your opinion on how they sound compared to other 6992/E88CC variants such as various 7308 and CCA versions, or other ones you believe to be of note.
Thanks for that perspective. I would agree that for some recordings the Beckmans can be just a touch forward, and their midrange is neutral rather than warm. Not sure your's Beckman are D getter or Ring getter, to me they sounds clean and detail , a bit forward and bright, the mid is not as emotion as other E88CC,most E88CC sounds not that much difference as ECC83 and my opinion is just pick one that suit you most and not necessary an expensive one
