My Tube Collection, Welcome to share yours

ECC40, cousin of 6sn7 and e80cc. This is a 1952 example from Tungsram with black welded plates and disc getter. I have compared against top examples of 6sn7 / 12au7 / 12at7 and it sounds similarly good or better, even despite being hobbled with adapters. Rather an impressive tube.

A nice collection of Brent Jessee tubes...and just replaced the Amperex 7308 US PQ White Labels with a Mullard 7308 from Brent...and I have it in for only 2.5 days, and it is really sensational. Very impressed.

The Robert Koda K15EX and K160 seem (at least relative to the remarkable CJ GAT 2 and Gryphon Mephisto) to be absolutely centered. Mellifluous, organic, powerful...but dead center by design.

In the case of of the Mullard 7308 ( at least relative to its 6922 brethern), is far more resolved...but it is still a Mullard with very powerful bass which the Zanden responds well to its in its PSU (all Mullard NOS thanks to Brent Jessee)...and its no different in the Zanden DAC Output tube where the Mullard 7308 really shines and actually outshines the Amperex 7308 which is perhaps lacking in the all-out power of the Mullard. Its very subtle, but as with all things great in high end audio, that's where the magic lies.

A nice result.
