Natural Sound

How on earth did this consideration make it through unscathed LoL

Which is true, to coat it with Nextel paint. I have mentioned that feedback many times. Even the one I hear regularly has some coating. Which is why I think it is much more complex than just the outside material. Anyway we digress on this thread as I just wanted to highlight that prophetic statement here

You bought the AS?

Rando what sort of counterstroke you think might be found?

I suggested regaining composure and ability to deflect injurious statements. Possibly nearing as many times as Peter has in the last 160 pages.

Followed by noting upheaval online could be dealt with by returning focus to their respective systems. Reassert ability to act without outward influences impeding personal investigations within digital. The impact on this discussion being desirable as a result.

Which is as far as I will pursue the topic of digital on Peter's system thread.

Stroke and counterstroke? :D

It is suggested that those who do not choose live acoustic music as their basis of preference offer up what they use to base their systems or at least their goals for it. I'm happy to read those but have not seen them.

No musical piece is ever played exactly the same way live. It would be unnatural and unsettling. I consider that a critical factor without terminus in artistic choices or instrumentation. This numbers among the unlikely to receive positive reception ideas on WBF and has little relevance within the defined values and aims of natural sound as it is defined here.

We can discuss where this does have relevance inside a devoted topic.
I suppose an example could, but does not need to, have appeal to either digital or analog. If you think there is more possibility and potential in the digital realm for finding a direction, it would be great to learn what that is. Imo, opting for and implementing a system capable of natural sound is not dependent on some specific gear but perhaps some other kind of sound might be.

Why that is more simple than I expected your often complicated formalization of a question would allow.

Make weaknesses into strengths and implore strengths to cede way for this amount of progress to be extendable. By collective Naturalist's accounting there should be no end of answers, near endless potential in approaches you have dismissed. :p

Again, this had legs in removing the exact impeding element you wish to reinsert. Analog has been privy to development by an unquestionably high level of minds for many years. Other directions of study and development also have potential which should be of no direct threat to your natural sound environment.
Happily some of us have found a gear specific path that works for us. That appears to draw what I consider the false criticism that those choices are elitist rather than criticizing those choices as somehow incorrect or not delivering what we think they do.

Natural sound was repurposed to invite falsehoods with no end of contentiousness. Guilt balances near equally on that scale from what I've taken time to acquaint myself with before the green ink and hidden elements grew in prominence.

Peter seems perfectly happy to discuss his journey, his decision to become a journeyman, and his system independent of what others are gleeful to conspire towards. The considerate choice, my choice, has been restricting comment to only matters where I felt a contribution or conviviality had merit. Or at worst inserted a good humored jibe offsetting the peculiarities of technical discussion.

I am not saying you need to confirm of recordings are good or not. You can play a good recording of Diana Krall, it doesn't easily highlight if system A or component A is better or worse than B. It can show some differences, but these differences don't mean much.

With violin, piano, and orchestra, you can know what to filter out pretty quick.
What is your favorite Album/Track for evaluation that is also available on Qobuz/Tidal?
And wouldn't it make sense to have voices as well, not only orchestra?
So you need several tracks to properly evaluate, right?

Of course. Thing is voices sound good to me on a variety of equipment. You don't have to spend much for voice

I didn't say just use one track of each.

My only point was that you can use these to REJECT very quickly. Shortlisting your final list and selecting one to purchase is a more involved, but at least you will know, in the particular context you are listening, the system or component is not happening quicker through violin piano orchestral tracks than through audiophile amplified. You will be able to shortlist for the next round as well

Found another nice prophetic statement here

"Great stuff, Aviad. From Magico to horns, you and audioquattr are the poster children of WBF's future. Peter will join soon"

 :p

Sorry am not doing much digital eval these days. I am focusing on things I haven't heard and a couple of things I want to confirm, but that's mostly on analog and horns and sets front. So right now it is all about LPs. When I go to listen to the horizon or compare streamers I will get more into it.

I used previously Bartoli vivaldi album for vocals, channel classics Mahler 2 and Mendelssohn Elijaj CDs, Scheherazade Reiner CD and/or stream, Heifetz Mendelssohn and Beethoven on stream, du pre cello concerto on stream. Bach cantata for choral and vocals. Some others but these were enough to filter out
