Not officially as the Clippers have not announced such news. I read it somewhere here from Steve that he will be missing the next season from his new 4 yr contract, so I imagine the 'experts' in the NBA would assume this too. Their forecast is that Kawhi will miss a 'significant' amount of time next season.

"Leonard, of course, is expected to miss a significant amount of next season, possibly all of it. But if he can return healthy, he would represent a missing piece capable of returning the Clippers back to bona-fide contender status."

So bottom line , the Clipps title contention starts next year , not this year. Perhaps this is why Ballmer did little except resign KL a he is waiting to see next years FA and draft picks. Seems all teams are holding out for Bradley Beal

He didn't realize the vote was not for the best de facto GM masking as a player where he would have received a ton of votes.

From what I gather reading the pages of non appreciation of his achievements:

*1 - the Ray Allen shot against the Spurs
*2 - the walk over the fallen Draymond Green's head to cause his suspension for a pivotal Game 5 which Stephen A calls a 'stimulus package'.
*3 - the Bubble Title

Leaving him with the OKC win as the only one without an *

I can't believe the season is a few months off and already I am reading about a preview of the finals with a game on Christmas Day at Staples between the Lakers and the Nets. That game should prove tio the Lakers that the seniors league applies not only to golf but to the Lakers team

What I found most interesting about this year's FA was that even though KL was going to re-sign with the Clipps there was not one team who had any desire to put a package together to make an offer to the Clipps. No one wanted to pay $40M except Ballmer for a year of rehab. So the Clipps willl have their best shot in the following season. I hope for the Clippers sake they can bring it all home because if they don't the next 2 years ( I think he signed for 4 years) might not be so good.
