New Album & The Beginning of Basketball Season

This article says it all. Yes age is a number but for the Lakers the number is quite large............

Is age just a number? The Lakers hope so

A veteran-loaded roster in L.A. hopes to prove NBA careers have more longevity now than during previous generations.

well guys....the day before the season opens and so much change in the league that it seems there always emerges a different team that no one noticed in the preseason. I feel at least 75% of the teams are competitive.

In the East I am looking forward to watching the Knicks and the Bulls both of whom, could become spoilers. I think the Knicks will be in th EC playoffs and time will telll about the Bulls. However the stronger teams are still there and are all healthy and ready except for Kyrie who is still standing firm. He could likely end up worse than Ben Simmons and lose an entire year's salary....and then there wlll be net year....will Kyrie ever roll up his sleeve and get the jab

In the west there is so much talent that any team can emerge. Case in point is the GSW who are healthy and will get Klay back in Feb. The GSW handily beat the Lakers in 2 preseason games and tomorrow is the season opener with the Lakers at home to the Warriors once again. This game should speak volumes as to which direction the Lakers are headed

Clippers don't play until Thursday when they face Golden State in San Francisco. Hope the Lakers wear the Warriors down a bit tomorrow night.

Would be nice to see the return of normalcy...for the NBA and the rest of us as well.

Let's hope everyone stays healthy and injuries are minimized.

Too bad Zion Williamson is already out with a foot injury while Ben Simmons and Kyrie Irving have taken themselves out of the game - so far.

I'm hoping Kawhi makes it back by February or March although his past behavior makes me think he'll sit out this entire season including the playoffs. Hope I'm wrong about that.

Simmons is back in practice. Plays but skips huddle. Body is there, but is heart there?

well guys...tonight's the night. To everyone who's a regular here, good luck with your fave team in this new season
Mike....best of luck with the Clipps but I tend to agree that Kawhi will sit the season other than a return late in the season but if the Clipps are a contender he could hopefully return
Phil....may your Celtics prevail this year and give you something to cheer for
Rob...to me the Bulls have a whole new look and they could be a surprise this year
Christoph. I know for you its the Nets and KD as your fave but in the absence of that it is Steph and the Warriors. IMO both are serious contenders. The Warriors will be a force to contend with

and as far as me and the Lakers I hope for some surprises but thsee guys will need an oil change before mid season. I just don't see their old legs carrying them late in any game agains faster younger teams

and just to add some sugar coating.........

'Opportunity' for another title driving LeBron James in season No. 19

Entering his 19th season with a 'completely clean slate' after healing from injury, LeBron James has his sights set on winning a championship in 2021-22.

Excited for the season start too, and yeah, good luck to everyone on their teams. At the moment, everything is just a huge unknown outside of the Bucks, Nets, Suns and Jazz maybe. All the other teams have big ?s.

Just saw that....trade the guy....if any other team will have him.

Unless they can get away with suspending him without pay.

Let's hope for good games from healthy teams :D

wow....what a season opener. The Bucks played start to finish as champions and Giannis proved his stardom

Bucks go buzzer to buzzer and never gave up the lead

Nets looked terrific however Bucks looked as good or better than they did in the playoffs last season. Giannis seems better in every department and he continues to fool all defenders with his Eurostep to the basket

Nets had a few runs to cut the lead but the Bucks always answered the call and pulled away and coasted too the end

Final Bucks 127 Nets 104

Giannis with 323 and KD with 32

One thing for sure is that the Nets as good as they are miss Kyrie in the lineup and the Bucks are for real

Lakers Warriors up next

It might turn out that the Nets need Kyrie more than Harden. Harden seems to do more when he's the main man. :D

I didn't realize Igoudala was back with the Warriors until I checked the box score.

Not familiar with a lot of other players on the Warriors roster.

My son tells me Otto Porter came from the Wizards. He quite good.

Lakers play a solid 3 periods and lead most of that time but as before they implode early in the 4th as the Warrior simply out ran them and out shot them with the deadly 3 pointer

The Warriors are for real this year and Klay is nt even back yet

The Lakers fold as they run out of legs. Westbrook once again was a big dud as he missed almost every shot eh took.

LeBron actually looked half decent but he too continues to suffer at the free throw line

I thought for sure the Lakers were finally going to win the game but they can't make it through the 4th period

Lakers go 0-7 since the start of preseason

Final Warriors 121- Lakers 114

Lakers have a few injured players. THT is out and Ariza

I didn't realize Avery Bradley is back for the Lakers

Steph finishes with a triple double and LeBron hits for 34 points

all in all a very good game but the Lakers can't finish.

So far this season IMO Westbrook has been nothing but hype. He is MIA

First to be see Bjelica play, Heard his name before and surprised that he is already 33 years old but is quite agile on the court, and being in the Euro league before, a good outside shooter and has a good basketball sense. Jordan Poole has developed well and will be a force, and Wiggins played quite well too. The Warriors interior passing is impressive and can rattle every opponent. No doubt they're back and Klay's recovery is smooth when he rejoins the team.
