New Album & The Beginning of Basketball Season

what I don't get is that the Wizards are in first in the east tied with the Nets but the buzz is around the Nets , the Bullsand the Cavs ( who amazingly are a game out of first). I don't get it why none of the sportscasters are talking up Washington who I think is a vastly better team since they parted ways Wirth Westbrook. Lakers IMO got the bad end of that trade
Wizards win again tonight and retain 1st place in the East while the Suns win their 9th in a row and are 1 game behind the GSW (who BTW just were rated top team in the NBA)

And the Bulls trying to sweep Clipps (last night and Lakers tonight)

At the half Bulls lead 57-48 as Westbrook turns the ball over on the first possession of the 3rd

I love watching Lonzo and Caruso relishing the lead

I'd say that Scottie's relation ship with Michael must be a bit strained now. Ouch. If it weren't for Michael there would never have been a Scottie Pipppen

Scottie Pippen says Michael Jordan 'ruined basketball' in new book
Scottie Pippen ripped Michael Jordan consistently in his book, 'Unguarded'

and to add insult to injury AD has been ejected after a 2nd technical, only the 2nd of his career

Third period woes dominate Lakers as the Bulls are destroying them 94-73 at the end of 3rd.Bulls are a for real team ( and the Lakers aren't) as they play back to back games and beat both LA teams

Didn’t see the game. Bulls blew the out in the 3rd?

Phil

looks like you and I and our teams are destined for the play in if lucky. So congrats on beating the Cavs in the 2nd game of a miniseries. Lakers had a difficult time with the Cavs who along with the wizards, knicks and Bulls are making a statement in the East. The East IMO is the more exciting conference as these 3 reborn teams are making their presence known

Not sure I'm thrilled about our chances down the stretch, Steve. Celtics won over a Cleveland team with lots of injured players. Bulls are certainly looking good. It's their time.

There is clearly a shifting of the guard. The Bucks and Sixers are fading. The Heat are up and down but steady state has been achieved by teams who were laughed at over the years. The only team that makes me laugh is the a lakers. I’ve never been so disappointed with their calamity of errors. Their top 3 players put them at the salary cap with minimum salaries for the rest of these old geezers.
SS I see the west it will be a runaway between the GSW and tgecSuns who can never be counted out

Last night the Mavs halted the Denver streak. This season’s final standings I believe will provide a lot if surprises and upsets in the East are going to happen. In the West it will almost be a repeat of last year

The Bucks are missing direly the services of Middleton and Brook Lopez who were down most of this season's start. So many injuries on their other teams, like I haven't really seen Jamaal Murray who was so good 2 seasons ago, then hampered by injury. Heat has some key players down too. As for the Lakers, could it be that LeGM is staying at the sidelines to 'test' how the other power duo are capable of stretching themselves, or otherwise. It may be a ploy, we never know.

I don’t see it as a ploy although Vogel did advocate for James to play fewer minutes and to avail himself upon load management.
I get it that these guys are gazillionsires but being on the IRL and fitting on the sidelines results in a fashion show as well as who is wearing the largest and heaviest gold chain. It used to be one big diamond earring. Now the trend seems to be two huge rocks, a Goliath of a diamond in each ear. Oh and I’m seeing them also wearing diamond laden Rolex watches. Gotta love this game. Entertaining even as they are losing

Curry giving an insane shooting display at the Warriors are thumping the Nets big time on their home floor. Wiggins is now their big help weapon this season.

In this very early season as Christoph says anything is possible but imo the path to the Larry O’Brian runs through the Chase Center in San Francisco. I really believe that once Klay is back the trophy is theirs to lose

Clippers are playing the Spurs tonight and lead 37-32 midway throught the 2nd period.

The Spurs are definitey in rebuild mode as I am not familiar with a single player on their roster.

I thought this was a terrific read. If we all only had a crystal ball
FWIW curry has 127 points in the last 3 games

The split between Kevin Durant and Stephen Curry is even more interesting now

I still feel KD should have stayed with the Warriors. That would have been 1 and a half strikes on him as he also chose not to play for the C's which could have Kryrie, Hayward, Tatum and Brown all in the same season (with his idol Tom Brady recruiting him in the Hamptons). That could be been a title or 2 easily I'd say. But, he got his 2 rings, but wasn't totally happy and bolted to 'his' team. The pressure is on him.
