New Album & The Beginning of Basketball Season

Interesting comment.

Why do you say that? They have the same key players as last year. Same coach.
They don’t seem to be playing as well as last year. However the season is still young

Utah is not the team they were last year IMHO. They are beatable
Maybe that is why they hired Ainge. :D I now find a weird team-up of Ainge and Wade.:rolleyes:o_O

and the latest rumors about Kyrie is that he is softening and getting close to returning ....if he does it will make the Nets the favorite to win it all

I guess the Jazz were tough last night as they did beat the Clipps putting them in a tie for 5th with the Lakers although the Clipps have the advantage by virtue of their division wins

Is there any hope that Kawhi might find his way back into the lineup before the season end? And the bigger question is if he does play this season will it be enough to put the Clippers into contention. Personally I think the Lakers won't be winning any more rings for years to come and I remain skeptical that Kawhi alone is the answer. I think the Clippers are a few players away from being a top tier team as the league is just too good for Kawhi to become the super hero. There are just too many great teams this year

My next thought is that the Cavs are in a position and playing well enough that they can surpass the 3rd place Bulls

For me the best emerging story is the Cleveland Cavs who continue to impress and are in 4th place only 3 games out of first. I wonder what Kyrie and Le Born are thinking
Glad to see the Cavs rising. Hope they do well. Followed then in the early 70's when the team joined the NBA.

Curry is the all time 3 ball king. Congrats!
How many games did it take Steph to get past Ray since we guessed?

As for the Clippers, I've tempered my expectations for this season. They have played well of late despite the loss to the Jazz last night. I'm hoping they allow some of their younger players develop this year - Terrance Mann and Brandon Boston in particular.

As for Kawhi, I was pleased to see him in Salt Lake last night supporting the team. Lots of speculation on his return date, some saying as early as April. Still, Kawhi is Kawhi and you never know what you are going to get. In my mind if he comes back at all this year it is a bonus. I don't expect it.

So far the Clippers have been fun to watch this year - in the main. I always root for the underdog so watching them play hard and winning their fair share of games is good enough. I know some fans are front runners and only root for the flavor of the month but that's not me. Couldn't be a Clippers fan if I felt otherwise I suppose given their history.

I feel the same about the Lakers. My being a fan goes back over 40 years. Problem is there is not one flavor of the month. The league is like Baskin Robbins with 31 flavors at any one time.

I thought the Warriors were your flavor of the month ;)
I do like the Warriors and wish them well this year but I can say in all honesty I have watched almost 100% of every Lakers game going back for years and years. Lately though I find myself tiring of their style of play. I remain however a fan forever

Tough not to appreciate Steph Curry and I am a Steve Kerr fan as well. Don't hate Draymond quite as much as I used to but haven't really warmed up to him either.

I usually agree with everything Van Gundy says as I feel he is an astute sportscaster but I hope he is wrong on this one...
