New Album & The Beginning of Basketball Season

I have to say this is not an exciting series so far.
I watched to half time, and caught up with scores for the second half.

When Boston was up early in the first quarter, their possessions were disappointing, scoring once from 9 trips.
Even if only scoring on 4 of those, that would have put them up 22-13.
Instead GS were in the game.

Both teams shot well from 3, over 40%. The difference was points in the paint/2 point %.

Consistency and application for Boston is key.
Will help those stretches when the ball doesn't drop.

I thought there would be no tension in this series as I once rooted for GS 4 times. All I'm reading now is doomsday for the C's when back in those days a 1-1 split on the road was a fantastic thing. LOL I know it's because the C's lose a lot of home games. So I'll just be watching the final scores. :)

Big game tomorrow in Boston.

As for Draymond, you either love him or hate him...

Draymond Green pushes Warriors' defense, Celtics' patience

The All-Star forward stepped up his intensity during Golden State's Game 2 win and could be a big factor in pushing the team toward another title.

Well, Steve, since I'm on the other side of the fence, I can only see an adversary who literally pushes, shoves, and creates unnecessary physical acts of intimidation to rattle the minds and hearts of his opponents. I'm talking of course about Draymond Green. In all the Eastern playoff foes the C's have met, even Kyrie now becomes as meek lamb compared to the antics of Green. PJ Tucker and Jrue Holiday are known to be tough defenders and they are in the truest sense of the word. I have nothing but respect for guys like Tucker and Jrue who play solid defense the 'basketball way', and not the WWE way. I got the Brown Draymond scuffle report from my son who told me what happened as I was not watching. Shannon Sharpe and Skip Bayless, who argue no end as opposing commentators, are in agreement, for the first time since I saw their show, that a technical should have been called on Green but the refs knew that would mean an ejection. There is not other way to interpret that Green first used his 2 hands to shove Brown, as Brown to get out of Green's 2 feet on his head. Even if Brown said something, it is clear Green was the first 2 to use 2 hands to push and shove Brown, as if to challenge him to some fight, as the normal thing that will ensue. No technical for using your hand to shove a player on a dead ball situation? I should say I rarely see that. I'm not saying that the C's lost the game because of that specific instance. I'm saying to control a game, the refs should call a foul or technical foul by the rulebook, which applies for everybody and every player. Or else , this will just be really a WWE event where fans of the aggrieved party will shout injustice. Is this really what the league is about, as Skip Bayless said, nobody wants a sweep in the Finals? He said that. I never really thought that far. But I'm beginning to realize this is a sport to gain more hoopla and ratings. I truly respect all the teams that played in the Eastern playoffs whom the C's played against. But I have started to see why Green was tossed in the 2016 Finals as Shannon and Skip both pointed out. Green got a technical the day after the said Game 4, which was called in the NBA office and not on the court. People forgot that perhaps. To earn respect as a basketball player, players like Green should not emulate Rodman, although he went in the the hall of fame, which surprised even Rodman himself.

As I said you either love him or hate him. Phil I thought you liked the antics of Beverly who imo is the same as Green but Beverly rarely gets mentioned.
I have not seen much grappling acts by Beverly really. Perhaps I only saw him in Clippers games guarding bigger players. Maybe if he plays the Celtics I'll notice more. ;) Green, on the other hand, took down Horford and Brown and was in a shoving match with Grant Williams. Honestly, I didn't see those moves of Green in Game 1. But maybe since he knew he's down by 1 game he had to take matters in his hands and start his antics. He can do what he wants but once the referees do not 'referee' him and call it as it is, that's another story. I thought this series was going to be a friendly match win or lose as I have the greatest respect and admiration for Klay for his gentlemanly plays and coming off 2 tough injuries, I wouldn't mind losing to his team. But now, after game 2, not to Draymond.

Phil
Regardless of outcome I have been truly impressed with the Celts coaching staff and team. They are thus teases Cinderella team and imo can win this series but it will take a lot of “ifs”

Pivotal game tonight for both teams Phil. I’m looking for a big surge from the Celts tonight. This series is only just starting
Well, the big surge is the big if. Finals pressure is new to them. They had 3 or 4 eastern finals and just got over the hump. They could even lose at home basing on their history. BIRD is not walking thru that door. ;D

Steve, I've felt their climb not just in these playoffs but from the departure of Ainge and the hiring of Brad and Udoka. Many Celtics fans were very pessimistic then, including myself. Cinderella team includes the fact they are facing a team with a huge finals experience and 3 time champion. It would've taken Russell himself to do beat that odds. The pundits and odds makers have awarded the MVP trophy to Stephen as early as game 1. The
IFs are just too much.

Celtics really need to win at home. They'll be hoping for a 3-1 lead by the weekend.

Ignore opposition antics, or refereeing inconsistency. Singular focus.
Ball movement and player movement, even if up by 10+.
Shots need to fall for Horford, Smart, Derrick White or Grant Williams. A combination of two or more of them would be even better.

Vegas book makers have Celtics favored tonight by 3 1/2 points

In essence a 1-2 possession difference.
They were favored by 8 points in Game 6 against the Heat in the TD Garden but lost. :D

Once again another gutsy finish by the Celts as they take a 2-1 lead beating the Warriors easily

116-100
I'm gonna have to watch the replay later.
