Rumors were circulating that the Lakers did make an offer to Brooklyn, including a package with Russel Westbrook but the team was uninterested. The Nets absolutely won’t take any Westbrook-Irving swap, so the Lakers will need to trade away more assets.

This is merely morning fodder. Westbrook is going nowhere as long as he is under contract to Lakers. There isn't a team in the league who want him> To say the Lakers offered Kyrie for Westbrook was dead from the start. Plus isn't it interesting when the Lakers told Westbrook they are going to make this year as a Laker much better. Right....they turn around and correctly try to dump him.

And to call the Nets as the runner up to the Warriors this year is laughable. What are those Vegas odds makers thinking

Those aren't assets. Those are all liabilities. The only assets the Lakers have are 1-2 younger players who played well. last season. Guys , the Lakers are going nowhere until they clear house of LeBron, AD and Westbrook. They have no youth to begin farming a team. Rather they have the "king"and his court' who will play out their contracts in Lakers purple and gold. I just don't understand why that moron Pelinka remains in his position. He has destroyed the team on two separate occasions and they are now in a hole so deep it will take 10 years before they are again competitive

Maybe Harden understands the need to ask for less rather than more in the hope of signing some players..Good move. I don't see Westbrook or LeBron or Ad renegotiating their contracts for the sak of making cap room to sign players. The good ship lollipop isn't setting anchor in Los Angeles

TBH I applaud KD for hiss decision. The Nets are hobbled with a crazy middle earther who only plays 1/3 of the games. KD is finally learning to look after himself. Whoever gets him are going to have to pull a Pelinka because they will be giving up the farm
