Anything going in and especially out of US if not FedEx seems to take a very long time. I ordered 5 things from US Ebay two months ago. They all were sent but stuck at US post. David sent me Vdh mono months ago. It is still flying between cities in US. So David called it back to switch to FedEx.

since i ordered on June 4th but had not even got a shipping notice yet, i reached out to ask why. here is the answer i got this morning to my question, for those of us in the USA/North America that have not yet received our order;
Dear Mike,
Unfortunately the order is not shipped already because our distribution partner in the US is awaiting a new delivery with editions from Germany. They will be able to ship within this week. Please kindly excuse this problem.

Glad to hear that. Fed Ex has messed up 3 of my 4 shipments in June. Frustrating how they screw up and make it like pulling teeth to get charges reversed.
Hello
I received a shipping notice yesterday from Beliner stating my order has shipped and a note that up to 21 days is the predicted arrival in USA. I ordered it June 2nd.
Today i am listening for the second time to this wonderful Symphony, Orchestra And Conductor and all i can say is at second listening i liked this recording much more than first time. I cant understand how some can think this recording is not Dynamic it is Dynamic, Natural,Wide and Deep soundstage its as close to the live performance as a recording can be i have the feeling that every time i listen to it again i will like it more and more..... Wonderfull!
in the land of the blind, the one-eye'd man is king.
fedex is the best shipper by far in my experience. not perfect, just the best. i have a parts department in the dealership i manage and we ship stuff all over and so have a wide degree of experience.......for many years. we receive parts from depots all over the country every day.
and i do my share of shipping.
fedex is the most consistent and reliable. if given a choice, it's what i choose. and for international, right now it is relatively predictable.

I hear ya Mike. They are great until there is loss or damage and then it's a nightmare. Long and the short is that none of them are great . I'm griping at them as I want my record
I'm speaking now as someone sending every now and again as a consumer. Your dealership probably sends and receives more in a day than I will in a lifetime so I understand where your comment is coming from as your dealership undoubtedly has a huge account with them
Ordered my copy of Buckner 7 June 18 and still waiting. I have exchanged notes with the folks at Berliner Philharmonker Recordings and here is the response that I got today:
Unfortunately the order is not shipped already because our distribution partner in the US is awaiting a new delivery with editions from Germany. They will be able to ship within this week and you will receive a shipping confirmation then. Please kindly excuse this problem.
Appears that we are getting close! I am very excited about this recording and can’t wait to hear it.
Haitink came out with, I think, the first complete set of Bruckner symphonies on Philips (huge box set that I have), back in the '70's (IIRC). We saw him conduct the unfinished 9th symphony with the LSO in London two or three years ago. Mitsuko Uchida played the Beethoven 3rd piano concerto in the first half. Quite a program. He is 91 and apparently still conducting! We saw him around 20 years ago in Boston conducting the BSO, with Manny Ax playing the Brahm 2nd piano concerto. We were in the first balcony (on the side) and looked down to see Manny's friend, Yo-Yo Ma in the audience.
I’m still haunted by an Emmanuel ax encore I heard in Columbus Ohio in 2001. Among the most amazing piano performances I ever heard, never was able to track down what piece it was.
I spoke to fedex today about a refund on an overnighted package that they lost track of and failed to deliver for two weeks. They were happy to tell me there are no refunds because they’ve suspended their on-time delivery guarantee. I told them that was news to me, and they basically said that because they posted it somewhere on their website, which I never viewed, nobody at fedex was required to tell me when I shipped it. Sadly they’re my only option sometimes.
