Well, I agree the game would have been much closer had Griffin been healthy, but it was no certainty they would have won. The Seahawks adjusted after the first quarter and played much better. Your defense could not stop us.

RIII stop running. We held you to two field goals and a fumble and several three and outs. That for a team that was scoring 40+ points From what i see all the Hawks need is experience.

I tend to agree with this assessment. RGII was clearly hurting and his mechanic , usually superb were all wrong. Forgetting his running for a second it was clear the kid could not plant his foot when he had to throw the ball.
Give it to Seattle they adapt and quickly and have some freaks in their defense especially their monster CB and Safeties. One of the CB is 6'4" and 220 Lbs!! Pierre Garcon wasn't going to have the field for himself, he was clearly frustrated...
Can the Seahawks beat the Falcons? Could we see a rookie QB in the Superbowl? Interesting prospect.

Seattle is a formidable team and could possibly emerge as conference champion.

I want to give Seattle the benefit of the doubt and say there first quarter performance was the result of playoff jitters. As troy Aikman pointed out Pete Crrol was completely confused by the RGIII. Not until they saw RGII was lame they realized they could ignore his run threat.
The key to beating the 'Hawks is to keep QB Wilson in the pocket and make him throw over tall lineman. Easier said than done

Pete Carol on the Seahawks: "Once the quaterback situation was sorted out. we are pretty much unbeatable."

Redskins play with fire with RGIII's knee and get burned; more Snaps

My heart goes out for the RGIII. I am not pleased I have been right about his style of play. :(
The 'Skins coach should also be admonished for jeopardizing the promising career of a superstar
The league is very happy. They have some young , very good QBs. The strange thing is that the least heralded of those rookie QBs may ultimately be the best: Russel Wilson. This kid is beyond good. Kudos to the Seattle Organization for drafting him and Pete Caroll to stand behind him. They are being rewarded. I am sure Atlanta is nervous. He is difficult to stop and plays and ofd ixture of smars, caution and dare: he was blocking for his RB n many plays but once he runs he slides before getting hit.
You guys from Seattle and the PNW should be happy, this is a good looking team with a strong defense and an offense that keeps on getting better. it will be a joy to see how far they go...maybe the Superbowl where they will lose to the Pats ;)

if our Seahawks get to the Super Bowl they will be so confident i like their chances. i agree i would not favor them against either Brady or Manning but nothing would surprise me.

what is great to me is that the Seahawks are the youngest team in the NFL, almost all their stars are locked up in minimum contracts for a few years, and Carroll and Schneider have shown they don't need high draft choices to find and develop front line talent. so they should be able to be a top team for quite awhile.

and i love the physical intimidation and fearlessness of their coaching style. for all the frustration i've expereinced over the years of being a Seahawks fan, the future looks very bright....whatever happens this Sunday in Atlanta i'm a happy camper. they are playing like they have nothing to lose and without fear.

The Skins lied about RGIIIs health. He haa a torn ligament when the game started.

Heads should roll .. at least close haircuts :) . Mike Shanihan and is son are doing a stellar coaching job with he 'Skins. The handling of RGIII knee is a black spot however.

AP Source: Surgery reveals damage to RG3's ACL

By JOSEPH WHITE, AP

WASHINGTON (AP) — A person familiar with the situation says the surgery on Robert Griffin III's knee revealed damage to the ACL.

The Washington Redskins quarterback had surgery Wednesday morning to repair a torn lateral collateral ligament in his right knee. The procedure also examined Griffin's ACL, which he tore while playing for Baylor in 2009. Another torn ACL would complicate Griffin's chances of returning by the start of next season.

The person spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because the Redskins had not made an announcement about the latest details surrounding the rookie quarterback's injury.

Griffin sprained the LCL last month and reinjured the knee in Sunday's playoff loss to the Seattle Seahawks.

The Skins dirty little secret is the existence of club seats not included in sell oou figures, That's why a tem liek Pittsburgh cab have such a large presence pf home fans. TV figures showed a static loss of 300k viewers.View attachment 752

The team that knocks you out of the playoffs to win it all. Go Hawks.

The 49er QB with playoff expereince was benched. Let's see if that was a wisw mose. My pick Green Bay,Denver and Patriots.

Go Hawks!

Against the Falcons next. :)

Tromp them good!

Carol: Just for that I'm not going to buy the 7 pair of Genesis 1.2 speakers I was going to use in my listening room. So there.

Go Falcons !!!

I like the Hawks becasuse of their defense but, another "but" the defense wasn't doing all that great before RGIII got totally incapacitated ... so I am not sure how they will fare vs Atlanta. And the Atlanta defense is not too shabby either ... So I am pulling for the 'Hawks but this could be a very close game... The play of the QBs might be the difference and however good Russel Wilson is Matt Ryan is a better QB .. In the air .. Intangibles ...

Else I am with you, GB, Denver, New England

Frantz I'm cheering for the Hawks not picking them.
