Rats... Looks like i won't make it guys. I ordered this 800 pound package from eastern part of US earlier this week and to my surprise even though it is shipped by FedEx ground, it says it will be here tomorrow (Friday) and I have to be here to help unload it at our vacation house. If by chance they push out the delivery I will rush home so that I can still come but that is a long shot at this point.

Not only did we hire a video guy - Carol managed to find one after my own heart. A perfectionist. I was chatting with him about lenses and how they don't make lenses with real, honest glass like they used to in the 1970's - and he pulled out his 1973 Zoom- Nikkor.
Here's his rig - I was shooting him as he was shooting me. Recognize the camera?

This will be a whole Genesis set-up. Genesis speakers, power amps, preamp, phono stage, music server, cables and racks. Tape deck is a Studer A810 with the transformerless output card borrowed from Ki Choi and turntable is a modified Roksan Xerses. Nowhere for me to hide if someone tells me that a Steinway sounds like a Fender Rhodes

Nice, other pces that will be in the chain feeding these Dragons like power amps, pre, phono, music server etc you mentioned would be great if you went into further details outlining each pce with product details and pic's.
How many amps are ideal to drive these speakers "all the same models" and what will they be specifically driving- what design are they - do they go into a cross over etc.
Would be great to have this info.

I don't want the audiophile to wreck all my effort in achieving the correct phase relationship between the midrange and tweeters in the crossover, and hence I do not allow for bi-amping. Hence, the owner needs only supply one pair of monoblocks or a single stereo amp needed for the Dragon. In this case, I used a pair of my GRAmps delivering 1,400W into the 4-ohm load of the Dragon.
The speaker is supplied off a single IsoTek Titan running at 240V. The Dragon comes supplied with its own bass amplification, so each GRAmp only needs to drive 28 1-inch ribbon tweeters and a single 6-foot midrange.
The stack that is the SCAmp comprises a Control Module, two 3-channel servo-controlled bass amps with each channel delivering about 1,000W into the 2-ohm load of a pair of 12-inch woofers per channel.
Each pair of 12-inch woofers is supplied via Neutrik Speakons from one-channel of the SCAmp. Just the speaker system laid out with all the cables and electronics take up 180 sq.ft. so these speakers are NEVER going to go into a small room.

I just wanted to express my sincere thanks to Gary and Carol, his sister, for hosting a wonderful party for a bunch of audio nerds and music lovers. It was easy to tell where I was sitting. When the Saint Saen's organ symphony was played on the Studer A810, I crapped in my pants. Seriously, that was a helluva reproduced showpiece. Everyone knows that Gary is very knowledgeable about music and was kind enough to help Amazon and ebay take my money tonight in return for purchasing some pearls he recommended. Thanks again for a wonderful evening.

For those who haven't seen the Dragon let alone hear it, it is a work of art and Gary tells me that it takes 9 months to make the speaker. The number of drivers in this speaker is insane with 56 tweeters and 24 12" woofers and midrange ribbons. Just to fabricate the wings of the speaker takes 1 1/2 weeks. Kudos Gary. Thanks also for great food and music.
All these cables are like the 'tail' of the Dragon. When the Dragon starts to do its thing, we shall await for the part which Bruce Lee in one of his movies, called: 'Dragon Whips Its Tail'.
