Oops. You're right The Smokester recommended it. Like you, through Nigerian Marketplace I rediscovered Oscar Peterson and started digging deeper into his playlist.
I get to blame you for introducing me to Dee Dee Bridgewater and Marcus Roberts.
Have you heard this:
Gary I just purchased the Moscode 402au.
Nice!! Have fun rolling tubes
No I mean thats all I did to get the sound of massed strings and brass right. Smile
if I said some sugar pills grow hair, I will have the Attorney Generals of half the states going after me for fraud. They would force *me* to show evidence. They would not go and conduct their own test at their expense to prove it doesn't work.
My gut reaction was that vinyl(PVC) cannot be magnetized. I found the claims of improvements in CD even less credible. The claims for cables almost laughable. Added to that their claim that they used cryogenically treated parts and even had an aftermarket cord made my eyes roll.
Excellent. The only question that remains now is what do you tell people who are certain they heard a big improvement anyway?

Oh, definitely!! I recommended this as one of my favourite CDs in another thread:
Oscar Peterson on piano, Ray Brown on bass, Louis Bellson on drums and Joe Pass on guitar.
Bingo. I hope Greg can understand that because it's a critically important point of logic.

I had to do a double-take here. I thought I was looking at James Brown for a second.
Why don't you tell us what you told Mike Fremer?
Was not Minoxidil or Rogaine developed as a completely different reason? So was Viagara. I bet they both raised some eyebrows. Pun intended.
Sure, but it was easy for them to show that those chemicals also work as erectile aids. Versus the efficacy of "demagnetizing" vinyl which nobody has shown to work, including the vendor.

You know Mark, I rather not. The man represents good part of our industry and this is the language he uses to communicate: http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/forums/lofiversion/index.php/t71245-300.htmlWhy don't you tell us what you told Mike Fremer?
Any change in the magnetic environment of a coil of wire will cause a voltage (emf) to be "induced" in the coil. No matter how the change is produced, the voltage will be generated. The change could be produced by changing the magnetic field strength, moving a magnet toward or away from the coil, moving the coil into or out of the magnetic field, rotating the coil relative to the magnet, etc.
