Sneak Peek! Exciting New Product from Von Schweikert Audio

I did to, upgraded to accuton in all of mine :)
which Porsche u have?
My only bummer with the bimmer is that I couldn't use an Accuton woofer since they couldn't fit under the seats where they are mounted. I had to settle for Focal for that pair :(

When playing with the DSP on my installer's laptop, he couldn't believe how high the mids could be crossed over without any hint of ringing.

You bad boy!

I guess we aren't derailing the thread THAT much. After all, since the SE NO.1 and No.2 are both finished with Porsche OEM colors LOL

SE No.1 (not shown here) is in Crayon.

I dropped off today at Von Schweikert Audio a pre-amplifier I have been enjoying but whose sonic graces are needed at the Capital Audio Fest. While I was at the VSA factory I caught a glimpse of the soon-to-be debuted at CAF VR-30.
I hope you realize, Ron, that just because of this I changed my mind about not going to CAF, and booked a flight up and back for one day only, to hear these speakers (and a few other things ;)). I hope you’re happy with yourself.

@Damon Von Schweikert, see you up there buddy.

The VR-30 is available in two models: one without the Foundation amplifier, which is entirely passive, and another that includes the amplifier. The amplified version provides 700 watts to the woofers, but all drivers operate through an utterly passive network. As mentioned, the amplifier features an isolation transformer with room gain control, but No DSP is used. The gain control allows for precise adjustment, providing flexibility in room placement and making achieving optimal in-room bass response more straightforward.

As previously mentioned, the amplifier features an isolation transformer with room gain control using NO DSP, which allows for easy adjustments, flexibility in room placement, and simplified achievement of optimal bass response. Additionally, the power amplifier for the three Accuton woofers offers more headroom and somewhat greater flexibility than the main amplifier.

Measured specifications:
Flat to 22HZ and VSA's characteristic linear response to 40khz.
measured efficiency @ 1-watt 1-meter is 87.5db.

There is no derailment whatsoever in discussing automobiles of interest. Model 003 is specially painted in Aston Martin racing green, a limited factory edition of only twelve pairs worldwide, and is on display in the Hilton lobby at CAF 2024. This color is from the 1959 Le Mans-winning car pictured below.

Gary, I read with interest in a different thread that Steve Norber seems to have designed this speaker. What is Leif’s current responsibility with VSA?

Tony, Damon was happy to reply to your question on the Capital Audio Fest 2024 thread. I'm looking forward to meeting you and your wife then.

I've been informed that the use of VS ceramic drivers entails quadruple the amount of crossover parts as the breakup modes are much more complex than the former conventional drivers that I have in my VR9 SE Mk2 speakers. The benefit is a faster and more dynamic speaker capabilities with reduced distortion. So the cost of VS new speakers is commensurate with the additional costs to manufacture them. The Foundation amps are great. My speakers are upgraded with them for longevity and their immense power. I've heard the Ultra 9 and 11 speakers and they are super fast, super dynamic and can be astonishingly realistic sounding (to the recorded performance).
