The new MSB Pro USB interface

Has anybody heard it or getting one? This looks like a nice solution to me and reasonably priced.

I'v got some question regarding MSB's Pro USB module i'm using with The Discrete. Everytime i change from PCM files to DSD files i got some annoying "pop" noise in speakers. This never happened with Renderer V2 module or any other DAC i tried (Metronome AQWO 2, Meitner MA3). Server i'm using is Pink Faun 2.16 Ultra.

There was a recent firmware update that may solve this kind of issue. I had same kind of issue going from 96 kHz to DXD on a Premier that was solved by this update.

This is called a bug or a bad design.
On MSB ProUSB/ProISL, it was a bug as told me Jonathan Gullman.

Lukasz had a lengthy description why we hear it. It is not a bug as I understand it

You can setup some delay and switch off output before playing to avoid anything going to amplifier and speakers when, among other possible things, going from PCM to DSD. You may get some clicks inside the DAC for clock changes for example, but nothing should go to amplifiers/speakers.

I think Lukasz knows what he's talking about. It's not a bug

 

I reached out to msb a fortnight ago to confirm what the recent firmware addressed and this pop when changing between was the only item on the list.

Update to the latest firmware and it will.be resolved
