This is a recording of the Totaldac room at the Paris Audio Video show 2024.

Two different microphones are used, so you can comment which you prefer and which you recommend for next hifi show coverings.
omi microphone: Schoeps mk2h
cardio microphone: Schoeps mk4

Two different placements are also recorded: in the middle of the room and on the side of the room (under the lower ceiling).

The source is the Totaldac CD transport, demoed for the first time!
The DAC is d1-triunity with the new live-clocking and the live-power option
The amplifier is the Totaldac Amp1-sublime
The speakers are Totaldac d110.
All components in the system are from Totaldac.

00:05:39 omni microphone, side of the room

I only wish the same color for display to match dacs and more elegant realization of upper disk loading part. Similar discrete design with black plexiglass door like in CEC TL-2N would be nice. Current structure looks a bit like alien and does not match dacs.

A new method is used to record a hifi system. Each omnidirectional microphone is placed between the listener and the speaker, at 1.5 meter from each speaker.
The microphones are placed at the same height as the listener ears. This way the hifi system is recorded without recording too much the room.
It sounds more like what you hear when you are in the Totaldac auditorium.
This is a full Totaldac system, using the new CD transport.
The DAC is the d1-triunity.
The speakers are the d110.

Following the listening of the Totaldac system at the Paris show this year, I hope that this CD transport project will be available, but more generally I really appreciated the latest updates that make it still take a big step… BRAVO Vincent

Now the CD transport d1-CD has one RCA coax output and one XLR AES-EBU output.
It should be offered to the market early next year.
