Yes, high quality tranformers can be helpful and beneficial if they are sized correctly.

Center tapped transformers (balanced power) have more installation requirements regarding what can or should be plugged in to the balanced circuits.

There are many professional installations that use balanced power. All of them where professionally planned and implemented. Check with the transformer supplier and ask questions.
