@Daro … Do you possess the same recording ( or V close similarity ) on vinyl ? And if in the affirmative , by way of comparison might we hear your EMT 930 , If available , playing in the same system ?

Cool, Heh , No no… merely an interesting exercise , speaking of which , activity via climbing into lofts should be encouraged in the middle aged audiophileI haven't listened EMT for a long time because of my laziness

Hi Daro,Hi,
in this recording I used Tidal, Wiim ultra signal reduced to 16bit and Dac Apogee-da1000, Klangfilm coaxial cable, Saec silver interconnect
Marantz 7 preamp, Ortofon pp el34 amps very rare model
this topic is about videoHi Daro,
I am just curious:
What are your in-room impressions when you compare your Wiim/Apogee set-up to your modified Douk U4 set-up?
From a musicality POV, are they about on par or is one superior?
Thank you![]()

This sounds spectacular in my opinion!!!Here's more from Bartok's Concerto for Orchestra. It's the Finale, movement 5 and it is specified in the score as Presto. Throughout the entire work, the composer will go from a sweet solo to full manic and go from pp to ff at the drop of a hat. Add in the lightening speed and we have fireworks on the one hand and Transylvanian folk music on the other.
Rafael Kubelik/Boston Symphony Orchestra
DG TOS 2530 479
If you like this style, there is plenty of zest and plate spinning from other Eastern European composers as found in Liszt's Hungarian Rhapsody No. 2 or Enescu's Romanian Rhapsody No. 1. Try RCA LSC-2471 with Stowkowski.
Recorded with the Lamm M1.2 Ref amps and a vdH Colibri Master Sig.
This sounds spectacular in my opinion!!!
