Is that now a final decision? Vitus?Well i have to admit the Vitus is a much better match for my speakers than the Audio Analogue.
The Vitus is very smooth and liquid sounding on pretty much all recordings which is not the case of the Absolute.
The Absolute is not as forgiving on bad recordings and with my speakers it can get harsh in the trebel and even much worst with my Diablo 300.
I think that my system is finally very well balanced with Cardas Clear Beyond cabling and the Vitus SIA-025 Mk2.
I have commended the Vitus025SIA in other threads, but missed this one.I put it in standby only when i go to bed otherwise i leave it on all day.
Yes i decided to keep the SIA-025 Mk2, my Diablo 300 is up for sale.Is that now a final decision? Vitus?

Absolutely!Hey,
Do you think Vitus SIA-025 mkII will be able to drive Harbeth M40.3 XD ? Speakers are 86db sensitivity.
How SIA-025 mkII did compare to your gryphon diablo 300 with your speakers ?Absolutely!

You are right regarding the Diablo 300 it is a faster amp and has more slam but is also sounds much more mechanical than Vitus amps. How SIA-025 mkII did compare to your gryphon diablo 300 with your speakers ?
I had Vitus Audio RI-101 mkII, Vitus RI-100 and demoed Gryphon Diablo 300. To me, with Harbeth M40.3 XD Gryphon felt way more powerfull than RI-100, RI-101 mkII , with a faster , more dynamic sound and fuller, bigger bass. Gryphon was also darker sounding amp with more tonal density.
If you purchase the SIA-025 be careful to choose a very good power cord it makes a big difference. How SIA-025 mkII did compare to your gryphon diablo 300 with your speakers ?

I have great results with a Furutech DSP 4.1 with FI50 plugs.
Hello
Yes, that's true. Even with Vitus RI-101 mkII , it was very sensitive to cables, and needed a good one to sound best. RI-101 mkII is very detailed, well balanced, open and extended up top in highs compared to D300. Sound was lighter through all the freq range, but very live and enjoyable.
Congratulations on your evaluation of the Vitus 025.You are right not all dealers are ready to lend you the gear but hey at these prices if they are not ready to make the effort too bad for them.
I'm not buying a 22k integrated whithout trying in my system the same applies for expensive cables.
Hi Barry, sorry but my ex Vitus SIA-025 Mk2 got destroyed by my present Jadis DA88S thanks to an Audiogon poster who compared both amps in his system several years ago.Congratulations on your evaluation of the Vitus 025.
Yes such a lovely liquid flowing sound.
I had one for several years before upgrading to the 030 which I am delighted with. Very well worth the higher cost.
The only downside is its size and weight as you get older!
Good luck !
