Well i have to admit the Vitus is a much better match for my speakers than the Audio Analogue.
The Vitus is very smooth and liquid sounding on pretty much all recordings which is not the case of the Absolute.
The Absolute is not as forgiving on bad recordings and with my speakers it can get harsh in the trebel and even much worst with my Diablo 300.
I think that my system is finally very well balanced with Cardas Clear Beyond cabling and the Vitus SIA-025 Mk2.
Is that now a final decision? Vitus?

I have commended the Vitus025SIA in other threads, but missed this one.
I had one for several years before upgrading last year to the 030 which indicates how much I like the Vitus amps.
The 025 gave me tremendous pleasure and satisfaction. The build quality and aesthetics are both very good and your description of the character of its sound bear out my own experience. Yes the 030 is even better as it should be at the price, but that doesn't affect my view of the 025.
I am sure you will be very happy with it if you so choose.I have not heard a better one at that price.

I have the slightly older Vitus SS 010 and it doesn't change in sound after a couple hours of warm up. I also find that I can switch it to Class AB mode as an "idle" mode and it sounds all the same after warm up and switching back to Class A for listening.

Thanks guys, it is indeed a very nice piece of gear, very musical and refined.
It handles my Thiels better than my Diablo 300 did!

Hey,

Do you think Vitus SIA-025 mkII will be able to drive Harbeth M40.3 XD ? Speakers are 86db sensitivity.

Absolutely!
How SIA-025 mkII did compare to your gryphon diablo 300 with your speakers ?

I had Vitus Audio RI-101 mkII, Vitus RI-100 and demoed Gryphon Diablo 300. To me, with Harbeth M40.3 XD Gryphon felt way more powerfull than RI-100, RI-101 mkII , with a faster , more dynamic sound and fuller, bigger bass. Gryphon was also darker sounding amp with more tonal density.

Hi Dinus
That sounds very familiar to me.
Some years ago when attending the Munich show the Vitus 025 was commended to me. My amplification then was Naim NAP 500 and 552 DR preamp - four boxes with PSUs.
My first reaction was very sceptical given its low quoted power output. My speakers were YG Carmels with a similar sensitivity to your Harbeths.
Anyway I did some digging and replacing four boxes with one was sufficient motivation to give it a try together with an assurance that power would not be a problem because of the SIAs high current supply.
A demo model duly arrived in my home and went into the system. No problem with power and much superior sound quality.
It stayed with me for several years before I upgraded to the more expensive and bigger SIA 030 which is wonderful and I have no plans to replace it.
I do not have any personal experience of your Harbeths but on the basis of my experience I am pretty sure that the SIA 025 would be a great match.
So yes do give it a try.

You are right regarding the Diablo 300 it is a faster amp and has more slam but is also sounds much more mechanical than Vitus amps.
Diablo 300 doesn't have the liquidity of the SIA-025 and also doesn't deliver as much current.

If you purchase the SIA-025 be careful to choose a very good power cord it makes a big difference.
I have great results with a Furutech DSP 4.1 with FI50 plugs.

Yes, that's true. Even with Vitus RI-101 mkII , it was very sensitive to cables, and needed a good one to sound best. RI-101 mkII is very detailed, well balanced, open and extended up top in highs compared to D300. Sound was lighter through all the freq range, but very live and enjoyable.

Albedo cables are an excellent match for Vitus gear.
