WADAX dedicated forum

Yes, the Arcadia has the same MusIC2 chipset as the Atlantis. When I purchased mine (in mint condition) from USA AudioMart (but specifically from Believe High Fidelity in TX), I couldn’t believe it had been available on Audiogon for 6 months and not sold, before being posted again, and sitting on USA AudioMart for another month before I purchased it. It was just around the time Wadax Atlantis Reference was starting to get a lot of press. I consider myself very lucky, and wouldn't part with it for 2x+ the price I paid for it. A rare classic, and arguably, the best looking sibling.

I listened another hour and half or so to a Wilson sasha DAW ARC WADAX system and although its special and has its way with digital its not on Telefunken M15 A level with a high Quality tape.

Id love to own one though although its pricey

Did you listen (only) to the Wadax reference dac and server combination? Or was the separate reference PSU of the server included as well?

I have no idea , i saw there were 2 power supplies underneath on the rack thats all
These two PSU’s were most likely the ones that are connected to the Wadax reference dac. The PSU for the server resembles the reference dac and server. So most likely you listened to the reference dac/server combo. If I am informed rightly, adding the PSU to the server makes a very profound difference for the better. Curious if that might have changed your opinion.

Does anyone have listening experience of the Wadax Atlantis non-reference DAC?

Interested in how it compares to both the Wadax Reference as well as top DACS from other makers such as the MSB Select.

I was not. Guess their Studio Player takes its place as the “entry level “ product. Thanks for the heads up.

There will be a Studio DAC and other products in the future however I doubt( this is my opinion not sure) we will see much if any of them this year. The Studio Player however is due here in limited quantities soon and from listening to it I believe its a killer item. It may not be the reference set up, and nothing is in my opinion, but it is a terrific piece and in a reasonable price area. I know that price is relative but compared to much of what I have seen and heard its a real deal product.
