Another wonderful new piano release. 24/192 FLAC from Presto Classical.
That cover image is enchantingly beautiful... almost magical.
Ofcourse I will listen to the musical part aswell...
Absolutely, I get so tired of glitzy or silly photos of the artists on the cover, which seems to be the norm these days. Hyperion's covers are usually much more artistic.
Talking about covers, this one gives me a kind of shiver...
The music is of course totally... of another kind of "vibration" .
From the ethereal to the brutal, this recording has it all! The cellist was not previously known to me, but I love the intensity of his playing. Great sound. Qobuz 24/96.
I may give this one a try...have you heard the Horowitz of Kreisleriana? That is our reference at the moment. Have read good things about Pollini and Agerich as well. Curious if you have any thoughts...
Horowitz is my reference, too. I don't think I've heard Pollini's, but I like Argerich's, too. Hough is a little less volcanic than either of those two.
