What turntables do you use? Pictures would be nice as well :-)

Congrats, Ki. That looks like a very nice set-up. I'll be curious to hear it. When Joe and I get there to pick up the Studer, I'll get him to bring his tools and see if we can optimize the set-up. Then it will be fun to compare tape copies of all the tables/arms/carts we have!!

Gary:

Although I have made several attempts at playing LPs properly in the past, but I am still a newbie when it comes to fine art of spinning the 'black disc.' So be gentle with me when you come over to check out the setup. ;)

To others:

Thanks for your nice words. I hope to learn as much about the technical aspects, but it will take time to gain deep appreciation for the music played from the not-so-perfect medium.

Ki,

beautiful tt set-up you have there, i agree it probably sounds like it looks. i do need to come by and hear it sometime soon along with your MBL's.

and you are most welcome for the 'For Duke' Lp; and thank you for all your tape deck help and counciling.

Mike:

When you are left without your MM3s and find yourself having symptoms of withdrawal and needing a quick fix, please come by.
I know I should try different cartridges but am trying to take baby steps to match thinness of my wallet.

Ki tell us that the Nottingham is your one and only turntable :)

Congratulations Ki and welcome to the Nottingham Analogue family.:) I only have the entry-level Horizon SE, which they no longer produce, but I've been very happy with it. I hope it brings you years of pleasure and musical satisfaction!:D

I have two turntables I use. The Micro Seiki DD-40 with the M505a tonearm and Ortofon 2M Black cartridge is in the living room sound system. The Michell Gyro SE with the SME 309 tonearm and Ortofon Cadenza Black cartridge is in the studio sound system.

Thanks for your photos of the turntableS, Dan. I also have a SME 309 arm and do think it's one of the best performance/price ratio arm.

BTW, it's good to see others with more than just one turntable...;)

Ki.......I have always had a turntable in every system I have ever owned, and a tuner, also. For me, a sound system is not complete with these components.
