anyone have any opinions on this soon-to-be-released set from Sony with 9 of Duke Ellington's albums?
both in terms of music, but also recording/mastering quality? presuming its not a new remaster...just a compilation set.
thanks for any guidance!

Your thoughts on Chet Baker? Just got One Night in Tokyo and the Last Great Concert, as well as his Complete Recordings with Art Pepper.
Chet baker is a fantastic horn player , as Art Pepper, Sonny Rollins, Stan Getz, charlie Parker, gerry Mulligan , amongst many, many others, my favorite being of course, Paul Desmond ..

The great musicians , tend to tickle their instruments, no brute force, just sweet smooth and powerful when necessary, Desmond was Mr Smooth, Chet bakers one night in Tokyo is a great collector 2 disc CD.....a lot of swing on Four .....
after all it's Chet Baker ...
